[name_m]Hi[/name_m] all! I hope you’re all well. I haven’t been around a lot lately as this is my first year at uni, and I’ve had a lot going on in all aspects of my life, however, I’m getting back into naming and I like to have a solid top ten list (in no particular order)! I currently have 9 top names for girls and am leaving the boys by the wayside for the time being…my questions is, what name am I missing? I feel as though I’ve considered nearly every name under the sun for lucky spot number ten, but nothing is jumping out at me…I have a lot of names I’d like to use as middles, but will consider any and all suggestions.
Here’s my current list (some with first middles already): [name_f]Antigone[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_f]Isla[/name_f] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Drusilla[/name_f]
[name_f]Guinevere[/name_f]
[name_f]Harriet[/name_f]
[name_f]Orla[/name_f]
[name_f]Persephone[/name_f]
[name_f]Sibyl[/name_f]
I’m looking forward to your suggestions - thanks in advance, berries!
@boyandgirl: Thanks for the suggestions! Both [name_f]Clodagh[/name_f] and [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] are on my MN list, though [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] has been in my top 10 before, so there’s a possibility she’ll make it back. While I want to like [name_f]Olympia[/name_f], I just think of the Olympics too much to take it seriously, unfortunately. [name_f]Sabra[/name_f] is interesting and is one to consider!
@bellerose: Thank you so much for the wonderful suggestions! Currently [name_f]Jessamine[/name_f], [name_f]Helena[/name_f], [name_f]Isadora[/name_f], [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] and [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] are on my MN list and I think I will consider both [name_f]Isadora[/name_f] and [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] to be that elusive #10. [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] is already on my list, and I’m not a big fan of [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] or [name_f]Lenore[/name_f], however I will consider adding [name_f]Imogen[/name_f], [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f], [name_f]Ianthe[/name_f] and [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] to my list in some way or another.
I’m sorry for any repeats! I figured I’d try my best to help since you’re post on my thread was so helpful to me. I tried to span a few different types of names, I wasn’t sure what would appeal to you. Here are my suggestions for consideration:
[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]
[name_f]Amarantha[/name_f]
[name_f]Annalise[/name_f]/[name_f]Annaliese[/name_f]
[name_f]Araminta[/name_f]

[name_f]Zara[/name_f]
[name_f]Zora[/name_f]
[name_f]Welcome[/name_f] back! I love a lot of your names (while I’m not crazy about [name_f]Antigone[/name_f], [name_f]Antigone[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f] is lovely, and [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_f]Isla[/name_f], oh my goodness!)! Your style reminds me of the Gothic [name_f]Victoriana[/name_f] and Upright Elegance lists from British [name_u]Baby[/name_u] Names, and a few old fashioned Celtic and Gaelic choices, so I’d suggest:
[name_f]Gwyneira[/name_f] (Welsh, meaning ‘white snow’)
Lowenna (Cornish, meaning ‘joy’)
Eirlys (Welsh, meaning ‘snowdrop’)
[name_f]Briallen[/name_f] (Welsh, meaning ‘primrose’)
Aderyn (Welsh word name, meaning ‘bird’)
[name_f]Ffion[/name_f] (Welsh, meaning 'foxglove)
[name_f]Celyn[/name_f] (Welsh, meaning ‘holly’)
[name_f]Elowen[/name_f] (Cornish, meaning ‘elm tree’)
Elestren (Cornish, meaning ‘iris flower’)
[name_f]Kerensa[/name_f] (Cornish, meaning ‘love’)
[name_f]Delyth[/name_f] (Welsh, meaning 'pretty)
** if you click on “Gothic [name_f]Victoriana[/name_f]” and “Upright Elegance” above each list I’ve given, it will give the link to the corresponding list from British [name_u]Baby[/name_u] Names. I also suggest skimming through the “Finds From” list, which are all unusual choices from various years in the 1800s.
@lovebeingamom: Aw, thank you so much for all of your suggestions! I have quite a few to consider here! I think I will consider [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f], [name_f]Amarantha[/name_f], [name_f]Cecily[/name_f], [name_f]Delphine[/name_f], [name_f]Emilia[/name_f], [name_f]Greer[/name_f], [name_f]Maddalena[/name_f], [name_f]Marigold[/name_f], [name_f]Minerva[/name_f] and [name_f]Zora[/name_f]. [name_f]Araminta[/name_f], [name_u]Bristol[/name_u] and [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] are already on my list, and I find [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] too similar to my much-loved [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f].
@lawsonhaley: Aww, thank you so much, [name_u]Haley[/name_u]! I absolutely adore those lists on BBN - you’re spot on with my style! From your suggestions, I’m going to consider…
[name_f]Amarantha[/name_f]
Bellamira
[name_f]Lucretia[/name_f]
[name_f]Pandora[/name_f]
Vesperina
