The name Althea for a Demon-Hunter? + Help me choose!

[name_f]Althea[/name_f] “[name_f]Thea[/name_f]” [name_m]Lowe[/name_m]: She is a sixteen year old girl. She is an archer and she is also a Demon-[name_u]Hunter[/name_u] (she just doesn’t know it yet). She has ginger hair, bright blue eyes (Basically, she is [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_m]Turner[/name_m]). She is kinda shy but over-protective. Her dad is gone and she lives with her mom. She has no idea about this Demon-Hunting thing so right know, she is just a teenage girl.

This is all I can tell but here is the thing: What do you think about the name “[name_f]Althea[/name_f]”? (She will go by the name “[name_f]Thea[/name_f]”)

Some of my friends think that it’s an old school name ([name_f]Althea[/name_f] is one if my friend’s grandma’s name) so I don’t know what to do. “[name_f]Thea[/name_f]” is a nice nickname but in my opinion, it’s not a full name, it feels like something’s missing. Please help me.

[name_m]Atticus[/name_m] “[name_m]Atlas[/name_m]” or [name_m]Julian[/name_m]: This is [name_f]Thea[/name_f]'s love interest. He is a demon in the body of a teenager. He is eighteen years old, he has curly black hair and black eyes. He is super competitive, stubburn and he tries to kill [name_f]Thea[/name_f]'s friends.

The thing is, I love the name [name_m]Julian[/name_m] so much and it kinda feels like a bad boy (but also a nice person) to me, so I name every main-male character [name_m]Julian[/name_m]. [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] is also a nice name but I feel like someone named “[name_m]Atticus[/name_m]” can’t be a demon like my character.

I don’t know, please help me. I’m desperate.

If you like [name_f]Althea[/name_f] I say go for it. She could have been named for a relative or her mother really liked the name. Aside from that, however, the only other names I can think of that come with the nickname [name_f]Thea[/name_f] or [name_f]Theodora[/name_f], [name_f]Theodosia[/name_f], [name_f]Galathea[/name_f], or [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f]. If, however, you want other name suggestions than how about:

As for the love interest, I think [name_m]Julian[/name_m] works. It always reminds me of [name_m]Julius[/name_m] [name_m]Caesar[/name_m] (you could always change to [name_m]Julius[/name_m] than), a man who had his faults and his virtues, which sort of sounds like you character. [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] is also a nice name but I prefer [name_m]Julian[/name_m] (or [name_m]Julius[/name_m]). But if you’re still not sold on either name than how about:

I adore [name_f]Althea[/name_f] and [name_f]Thea[/name_f]! [name_m]How[/name_m] are you imagining them pronounced? In my head it’s “ALL-thee-ah”.

I will pronounce them just like you. In my opinion, it’s the best pronunciation!

For the girls name:

I really can imagine my character with the name “[name_f]Althea[/name_f]” and the nickname “[name_f]Thea[/name_f]”, so thank you for all your girl-name suggestions! But I think that I’ll stick around with the name [name_f]Althea[/name_f] for a while.

For the boys name:

I’ve considered the name [name_u]Dorian[/name_u] for my character, but as you may know, [name_u]Dorian[/name_u] is a famous name. I wanted my character’s names to be not-popular but unfortunately, [name_u]Dorian[/name_u] is a popular name because of the [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] Wilde’s book and character. So, I had to eliminate the name “[name_u]Dorian[/name_u]”.

But, how ever, the name “[name_m]Hadrien[/name_m]” sounds really good to me right know. Thank you so much for this name!
