The name lover in me wanted to cry when a FB friend just posted the name for baby #4

A girl I was friends with growing up has 3 children named [name_m]Kenneth[/name_m] R@y, Br@yden J@mes, and T@lyah Nykkole (which is awful). She’s pregnant with a boy and posted pictures from her baby shower today and I saw the name on the cake… Z@yden. I don’t know the middle name yet but really… Z@yden? And she already has a Br@yden. It’s so bad. I’m curious to see if the middle name will be awful too when she posts it.

The father of the baby also has a son from a previous relationship named T!tyn… which also makes me want to cry.

[name_m]Kenneth[/name_m]'s name is nice. But the others?

LOL @southernmaple

I feel your pain. Especially when she’s already got a [name_u]Brayden[/name_u]. They sound like quite the white trash family

They get worse with each subsequent child!

Nykkole makes me really, really unhappy.

Good one Southern [name_f]Maple[/name_f]! These are kind of terrible names especially Nykkole. What is wronf with [name_f]Nicole[/name_f]?

The names make my eyes hurt.

The same thing just happened to me!!! Someone I know just had her second son, [name_u]Brayden[/name_u]. Big brother is [name_m]Kaden[/name_m]. Really?!?!?!

The weird thing is, she had [name_m]Kenneth[/name_m] when she was 16 and gave him a decent name. The names got worse as she got older… usually it’s the opposite.

[name_f]Nicole[/name_f] is a beautiful name. Why spell it [name_f]Nikole[/name_f]? Why spell it [name_f]Nikkole[/name_f]? Why Nykkole? I want to cry. [name_m]Zayden[/name_m] makes me unhappy, especially if they already have a [name_u]Brayden[/name_u]. [name_m]Kenneth[/name_m] [name_u]Ray[/name_u] and [name_u]Brayden[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] are fine, but when they got to Talyah everything went downhill… quickly.

Taylah? Like Pronouncing [name_u]Taylor[/name_u] with a weird accent? Poor kids.

My heart goes out to poor [name_m]Zayden[/name_m], who will always just be his older brother, but with a Z. Makes me legitimately wonder the thought process behind naming such children…

[name_f]Tayla[/name_f] isn’t that bad i know a [name_f]Tyla[/name_f]

It’s not Taylah, it’s Talyah and they pronounce it Taal-yuh. Basically exactly how it looks. Like a messed up spelling of [name_f]Talia[/name_f]. They pronounce it like this pronunciation video.

That isn’t that bad but their daughter is named Talyah, not [name_f]Tayla[/name_f]. A bad spelling of [name_f]Talia[/name_f].

[name_m]Brandon[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u], [name_m]Kenneth[/name_m] [name_u]Ray[/name_u], [name_f]Talia[/name_f] [name_f]Nicole[/name_f], and [name_u]Aidan[/name_u] would have been SO much better. So much wasted opportunity to use great names!

[name_f]Talia[/name_f] would be pretty. Nykkole is atrocious! Ugh, I hate when sibling names rhyme… [name_m]Kenneth[/name_m] [name_u]Ray[/name_u] is handsome. [name_u]Brayden[/name_u] and [name_u]James[/name_u] are both overused. Like I said, [name_f]Talia[/name_f] would have been pretty, [name_f]Talia[/name_f] [name_f]Nicole[/name_f]. But not Talyah Nykkole… And I don’t like [name_m]Zayden[/name_m] because it reminds me of One Direction but I think his name is Zayn – I despise One Direction (no offense to all the Directioners!) The only Z name is [name_m]Zachary[/name_m] because it is handsome and a classic.

I don’t know. I don’t like [name_m]Kenneth[/name_m] or [name_u]Ray[/name_u], not a big fan of [name_u]Brayden[/name_u] or [name_f]Nicole[/name_f].

But I do like Talyah and [name_m]Zayden[/name_m].

Not sure what that says about me.

I don’t think Talyah is a horrible name, if it was spelled correctly. [name_f]Talia[/name_f] is much better than Talyah. [name_m]Zayden[/name_m] isn’t horrible on it’s own but it falls into the crazy amount of Aidans, Braydens, Kadens, Jaydens, and all those other -ayden names. What made me want to cry is that she already has a son named [name_u]Brayden[/name_u] and is adding a [name_m]Zayden[/name_m].

Yeah, I think the rhyming -ayden brothers are pretty bad. Poor kids! I’m hoping they will grow up to think it’s really cool, since it’s not their fault.

Let us take a moment of silence to mourn for the name that could have been
