The new Ashley :)

I always liked [name_f]Ashley[/name_f]. It´s soft and pretty and stands for so many similar names that were popular before and after.

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]Shirley[/name_f] in the 20s and 30s, [name_m]Lindsay[/name_m] in the 70s and 80s, [name_f]Sydney[/name_f] in the 90s, [name_f]Haley[/name_f] in the 2000s, [name_f]Aubrey[/name_f] in the 2010s and maybe [name_f]Hadley[/name_f] in the 2020s? [name_m]Oakley[/name_m]?

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_m]Just[/name_m] wondering, can you think of some names in the same style that aren´t popular yet, but maybe similar to [name_f]Ashley[/name_f], [name_f]Hadley[/name_f], [name_f]Haley[/name_f] etc.?

[name_f][/name_f]

I can think of [name_f]Ainsley[/name_f] and I like it, but not enough to use.

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_m]Not[/name_m] looking for super long lists, but more like 2-5 choices or so that you think fit and which image they give you.

[name_f][/name_f]

Thank you!

Names ending with an ‘-ee’ sound that I think are soft and pretty:

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Melanie[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Melody[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Heidi[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Joanie[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Lottie[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Romy[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Suki[/name_f]

[name_f][/name_f]

If you’re open to names that don’t end in an “ee” sound, [name_f]Freya[/name_f]

Edit - if has to be a Y ending sound, I would say Lily has been the name of the 2020s but I get she has a different feel to the more unisex names you’ve listed.

I feel like [name_m]Marley[/name_m] could become the new [name_f]Ashley[/name_f], especially in my area. [name_f]Darcy[/name_f] and [name_m]Bellamy[/name_m] maybe? I find this a hard space to fill. [name_m]Hartley[/name_m]?

[name_m]Frankly[/name_m] I think you’d be fine just going with [name_f]Ashley[/name_f] all trends swing back eventually.

A few that come to mind:
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Keeley[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Elodie[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Henley[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f][name_m]Linden[/name_m]
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Ellery[/name_f]

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]Everly[/name_f] and [name_f]Avery[/name_f] also feel like other currently-popular choices in this vein.

I think [name_f]Hadley[/name_f] definitely feels like the 2020s version of [name_f]Ashley[/name_f]! [name_f][/name_f] [name_f]Ainsley[/name_f] could also work but she doesn’t feel as tied to the 2020s as [name_f]Hadley[/name_f] does.

[name_f][/name_f]

Besides [name_f]Hadley[/name_f], I would offer up [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]! [name_f][/name_f] [name_m]Not[/name_m] as unisex but it feels like the vintage, glamorous twin of [name_f]Ashley[/name_f] for me :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

[name_f][/name_f]

A few others I think could work:

[name_f][/name_f]
    [name_f][/name_f]
  • [name_f]Everly[/name_f]
  • [name_f][/name_f]
  • [name_m]Ashby[/name_m]
  • [name_f][/name_f]
  • [name_f]Avery[/name_f]
  • [name_f][/name_f]
  • [name_f]Emery[/name_f]

This is a refreshing take on my name. Thank you. I don’t have the appreciation for [name_f]Ashley[/name_f] that you do, but I do like some names that fit into its style category.
[name_f][/name_f]I think [name_f]Everly[/name_f] might be the current [name_f]Ashley[/name_f]. I hear it everywhere, in every spelling.
[name_f][/name_f]Possible up-and-coming “Ashleys”:

[name_f][/name_f]

[name_f]Blakely[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f][name_m]Finley[/name_m]
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Lively[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f][name_f]Posey[/name_f]
