- the new nameberry app, and forum changes?

I’ve noticed “ads” on the forums for a new Nameberry app! This seems really neat and I think is something that’s been requested for a while, but I do have some questions:

  • are the forums available on the app? (I hope so!) right now it just mentions name lists and name matching!

  • is the nameberry logo changing?? the app icon shows a different nameberry logo (shades of pink and orange), but is this just for the app, or everything?

I’ve also noticed some changes on the forum pages: the font is different, icons (likes on my own posts and emojis in the menu) are tiny, and the menu when profile picture is clicked shows blue boxes instead of the typical likes/replies/summary icons, and paragraph spacing has changed. But these changes seem to only show up on forum/thread pages, and not the homepage or usercards, and they will flip back and forth between old and new randomly.

I’m wondering if the new app and the different font/icons/etc are part of the “big changes” some of the mods have mentioned before? That would be really exciting! (and I trust that the small glitches will be smoothed out in time if these changes are intentional!)

[name_m]The[/name_m] forums will NOT be available in the app. [name_m]The[/name_m] app will be a finely-tuned name matching machine, which will take you on a unique naming journey with every partner you invite to swipe with you. You’ll match names with individual partners but also assemble a larger collection of names drawn from all your matches. [name_m]The[/name_m] new logo is just for the app. [name_m]The[/name_m] forum font and other changes you’ve noticed are not related to any of this – I’m going to guess those are due to some update of the Discourse software, which we do not control. We’ll be announcing lots more about the app and other changes in the days and weeks ahead and would love to hear your thoughts as we roll out these new features! Thanks for being part of Nameberry.

I was wondering what the price is going to be like? Subscription? If so, monthly or nearly? And for how much?
