here i am, posting about another name that i hold very close to my heart. sweet helen!
helen is my great grandmotherās name. i lost her when i was fourteen after being very close to her for the first time in my life. she was strong and kind, despite having a hard upbringing. i often think of her like [name_f]Ć”ntonia[/name_f] in willa catherās my [name_f]Ć”ntonia[/name_f].
last night i dreamt that i had a little girl, and after playing with helen prairie, helen clementine, and helen bee, i ended up calling her helen goldie. that got me thinking about bringing helen into the first name spot, with one of my usual first name favorites as a middle name.
this all being said, knowing my style of whimsical vintage, southern, and modern word names, what would you choose as a middle name for my helen?
and, for a bonus question, what are your thoughts on the nickname āhoneyā for helen?
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Helen[/name_f]! [name_f]Honey[/name_f] isnāt really my taste in general, but I do think it works as a nickname for [name_f]Helen[/name_f]. And [name_f]Helen[/name_f] [name_f]Bee[/name_f] nn [name_f]Honey[/name_f] [name_f]Bee[/name_f] is actually adorable!
I love the idea of [name_f]Helen[/name_f] with something summery. Maybe something like:
oh wow! helen bee āhoney beeā is perfect! i canāt believe i didnāt notice that!
i love your suggestions of summery names. helen isla is so darling. my boyfriend loves isla, but doesnāt like the popularity, so i know heāll love her in the middle! helen birdie, helen tallulah, helen clover, and helen scout are right up my alley!
[name_f]Helen[/name_f] is my beloved sisterās name so this name also makes me smile
I used to have [name_f]Helena[/name_f] as a way to honour her as I never full understood the appeal of [name_f]Helen[/name_f]. However now I can completely see the appeal of [name_f]Helen[/name_f] sheās bright, classic, has this sweet cottagecore appeal and I think [name_f]Honey[/name_f] would be an adorable nickname for [name_f]Helen[/name_f]
I have [name_f]Hope[/name_f] [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] [name_f]Helen[/name_f] as you probably know so maybe that could provide some inspiration! [name_f]Helen[/name_f] [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] would be gorgeous.
Youāve had some lovely suggestions so count any repeats as me being in agreement with the berries

Oh yes yes yes. Beauuutiful! I think [name_f]Helen[/name_f] is lovely, and [name_f]Honey[/name_f] makes a darling nickname. That adds to the spunk and totally works with full name [name_f]Helen[/name_f], to me. Helps that āhoneyā is also such a classic pet name for anyoneānot a stretch at all to get there from [name_f]Helen[/name_f]. (Also, I must add, [name_m]Len[/name_m] and [name_u]Lenny[/name_u] are so cute for [name_f]Helen[/name_f] nicknames on a little girl. They feel like they fit right in with your usual style, to me!)
