Do any of these thoughts (my worries about this lovely name that I adore) ring true for you?

  • It’s weird to name a kid after a word for “sight.” What if the kid’s born with poor sight? Or none at all?
  • It’s weird to name a kid after a male superhero if the kid’s born a girl.
  • Vision is too out-there to wear. A Starbucks barista and a substitute teacher would be puzzled over a name like that.

Do any of these thoughts (my favorite thoughts about this pretty name) ring true for you—or make you happy to think of?

  • It’s pretty to name a child after a word meaning to imagine and a vivid, fanciful image or the experience of dreaming.
  • It’s cool to name a child after a meaningful word to the namer.
  • Names connected to pop culture are fun.
  • “V” names are sharp and spunky. If “V” is an important letter to a namer, a “V” name is a cool connection to have.

And finally…

  • I’ve got some out-there names on my list, too!
  • I’ve not got any names on my list as out-there as Vision.

TIA, everybody. :relaxed:
