I’m not very familiar with the historical figure and I don’t think most of the younger people I know are either so hearing [name_f]Twiggy[/name_f] in reference to a person I just think, “Wasn’t she a fashion icon or model from the 60’s?” without any additional connotations but “twig” is pretty commonly used as an insult for thin people so I can definitely see how that could become an issue. I really like how [name_f]Twiggy[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] sounds but I think it might be best as a nickname. I think it would work for any T name epsecially ones that include some of the other letters like [name_f]Twila[/name_f] or [name_u]Teagan[/name_u], other names that include several of the letters like Imogen/Ingrid/Gwendolyn, or maybe as a really stretchy nickname for a tree name like [name_u]Aspen[/name_u] or [name_u]Willow[/name_u] since twigs come from tree branches.

I always thought that Lyla was the new spelling and that Lilah was the classic spelling because I assumed it was short for Delilah. I recently learned that Lila with out the H is an old name (but also sometimes pronounced lee-luh), so I am curious about everyone’s associations. Personally, I don’t love the Y in Lyla because it feels too modern, but I think Lila would be pronounced the other way fairly frequently, especially around Spanish-speakers.
Which of my NOTDs from the past 2 months do you guys like the best?

This is about a girl named Lucky … does it work?
0 voters
really tempted to vote yes because i just love britney, but i think it’d work better (and be super cute!!) as a nn for any luc- name!
I know there are probably better sounding/flowing combos, but this particular combo means a lot to me in different ways and is pretty much a non-negotiable and I love it anyway. But I was curious to see what the objective opinion of the Berries was.
Rate 1-10, ten being the best.

Emerald seraphine pretty for a girl?
I love both but prefer [name_u]Sasha[/name_u] as a nickname as for the honour I think that naming someone [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] is enough of an honour for an [name_u]Alex[/name_u]
