I totally understand! Thereā€™s one name I can think of that I almost always misread

I actually donā€™t have any issues with [name_f]Violet[/name_f] or [name_f]Margot[/name_f], but Iā€™ve seen others bring these up as examples of names that are misheard/misread a lot.

At any rate, I can live with the fact that a small number of people think my daughters are name Violent and Maggot :see_no_evil: As long as itā€™s a small number :pinching_hand:

As a sister to a Vi0let and a nanny to a Marg0t, may I just sayā€¦ never have I ever thought of any of these associations independently. Only ever as queries of ā€œare they strong associations?ā€ has been my personal experience!

iā€™ve always prn it zoe-see-uh but a berry mentioned it was prn the other way and now im confused :sob: but i honestly like it either way

i want to say zo-sya/zo-see-uh (which i prefer), but i think the ā€˜correctā€™ pronunciation is like zosha, which is how zosia mamet pronounces her name iā€™m pretty sure

yeah, thatā€™s kinda what i meant to say lol zoe-sha zosha, same thing lol

as a rule of thumb, -ia endings in polish are typically said as one syllable, so itā€™d be zoe-shah! sorry to disappoint
