I knew there had to be a legitimate spelling for the name with a hard T out there and I somehow missed this :woman_facepalming: Is it generally pronounced as tim-oh-TEE-ah or tim-oh-TAY/TEH-ah? I’m still on the fence about which pronunciation I like more. I like the look of [name_f]Timothea[/name_f] more, but given that it’d get said “wrong” I might add Timotea anyway! It’s like my [name_m]Anthony[/name_m] vs. [name_m]Antony[/name_m] debate all over again :melting_face: Anyhow, thank you for the reply!!

hahaha, it happens :sob: i’m not 100% sure but it seems like the origin is spanish & italian, so i’d assume it’s generally “TEH-ah” and not “TEE-ah” – but it could probably still work imo!

Another hard T spelling would be the [name_m]French[/name_m] Timothéa (although in some [name_m]French[/name_m] dialects, it would be a D sound)
