Side note my son went to school with a Gypsy (who had no links to the culture) & it was never considered offensive but she did get some weird looks as all of her other 8 siblings had very traditional names, think Beatrice, Elizabeth, Thomas, James etc.

To me, this is the exact same as using [name_f]Gypsy[/name_f], if maybe slightly better since itās not a slur. I have absolutely no authority to speak on the subject, though, since I am not a part of that community.
