How much would it annoy you that every time you say Miles in the possessive, it sounds a bit clunky ("Miles’s bike, Miles’s shoes, etc.)?

  • It would annoy me enough that I would not choose the name Miles based on that issue

I absolutely adore the name Forest and I have Forest Elijah on my list. However, I’ve recently seen some discourse online about how the character of Forrest Gump was named after Nathan Bedford Forrest. I don’t personally care for that movie, and obviously Forrest’s beliefs and actions were despicable, but I worry that having Forest on my list is akin to excusing racism or racist in general?

So, is it alright to have Forest in my list? Or is it too controversial and tainted by this horrid person?

[name_m]Forest[/name_m] is one of those names where the spelling makes it a completely different name to me! [name_m]Forest[/name_m] is a nature name and [name_m]Forrest[/name_m] is a surname. The associations of one don’t carry over for me.
