The Quick Poll Thread! (Part 7)

  • Jasper and Rosalie , if other names🌲
  • Jasper and Rosalie, too twilight☀️

I think it works if there are other names. I would still think of twilight but if the other kids didn’t have twilight names I would assume it was a coincidence.

If it was just [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] or she went by a different nickname, it wouldn’t be a problem but if she only went by [name_f]Romy[/name_f] then yes, I would notice

Since I don’t actually know anyone with those names, [name_f]Twilight[/name_f] is my only association with those names besides being nature names so it’s personally too twilight for me to use both but could be ok for others. However I would definitely be wondering for other families if I see they are both first names on siblings. I think if it would be ok if one was a fn and the other was a middle though

If a name you like , like for example Delilah for me you found out was a lot more popular than thought and like uncommon names Would still have it as a favorite name or pick ddifferent first name?

:butterfly:Sorry if hard to read or understand

It really depends on the name, how important it was to me, and how many people with that name I actually know.

Yeah, in American [name_f]English[/name_f], it goes either way. For me, I personally believe in the “s’s” because “s’” usually indicates plural possessive. Still, American grammarians say it can go either way.

That said, I agree with [name_f]British[/name_f] [name_f]English[/name_f] when it comes to quotations. [name_f]British[/name_f] [name_f]English[/name_f] doesn’t add punctuation inside a quote, but does this ‘_____’.

Whereas American [name_f]English[/name_f] inserts punctuation “________.”

Thank you for explaining that tidbit about [name_f]British[/name_f] [name_f]English[/name_f]! I didn’t know the rule was solidified.
