We are considering [name]Theodore[/name] ([name]Theo[/name]) for our second son. We already have a dog named [name]Leo[/name], do you think this would be confusing and/or strange?
Thanks for your opinion!

Unfortunately, I think the answer is yes. I love both of those names, but they’re too close. I think the dog will be confused at the very least. I have a dog named [name]Bean[/name] and I even nixed the name “[name]Ben[/name]” b/c they were one letter apart and they don’t even sound the same–different vowel patterns.
Not at all. When I was born my parents had a dog called [name]Molly[/name]. I’m [name]Millie[/name], and okay I was called [name]Molly[/name] a lot both by my parents accidently and by neighbours but it was something that I lived with and laughed about. I still get called [name]Molly[/name] now as a joke by my little sister and [name]Molly[/name]'s been dead about 7 years! Though to be honest, we have a dog called Cookie and my mum calls me Cookie by accident sometimes, so I think confusion would happen even if the names didn’t rhyme!
