My friend says that if she gets B/B/G triplets someday, she’s going to name them Aang, Sokka and Katara after the characters in Avatar: The Last Airbender. She calls her aunt [name_u]Kelly[/name_u] [name_f]Kaya[/name_f] (and has since she was a child) and in the show Katara’s mother’s name is [name_f]Kya[/name_f]. She currently has Katara [name_f]Lauren[/name_f], Sokka [name_u]Drew[/name_u] and Aang [name_m]Tanner[/name_m]. I think it’d be funny, but I’m not sure how I’m feeling on it… thoughts?
I expect she will grow up and change her mind before she has children. - at least I hope so. It old be a bit better is she reversed the first and middle names and name a set of triplets [name_f]Lauren[/name_f], [name_u]Drew[/name_u], and [name_m]Tanner[/name_m].
I agree with Paw: I’m pretty sure she’d change her mind when she is actually pregnant with triplets.
I understand wanting to name your kids after something/someone you really love, but those names are just too outrageous, in my opinion. They could work as middles, though, if she was really set on it.
I agree with the PPs, I highly doubt she’d actually go through with it. I know I’d hate my future children’s names to be tied to a particular show, movie, etc. Like I understand everyone has their own likes and interests, but can’t they be a bit more discreet? It’s like naming your daughter [name_f]Renesmee[/name_f] or your son Peeta - they’ll forever be tied to some pop culture icon.
And remember, the chance for triplets without IVF is highly unlikely. So this can very easily be a non-issue.
Avatar is one of my all time favorite shows, but this would be way over the top!
I’ve had a long running joke with a friend of mine who is a novelist, that if I ever have GGG triplets I’m going to call them [name_u]Story[/name_u], [name_u]Fable[/name_u] and [name_f]Novella[/name_f]. It’s highly unlikely that it would ever happen. She may just be being fanciful, if she ever did get pregnant with triplets, she’d probably change her mind. The majority of names on my list have changed since I was 15/ 16/ 17, I’m about to turn 27, 10-12 years change a hell of a lot about a person. Your tastes in pretty much everything mature.
