Third boy, need ideas!

My two sweet little boys, Drexe| and De@n, are about to get a new baby brother. I would like to come up with names that meet one of the following criteria:

  • Starts with a D
  • Contains the D sound (like [name_m]Edward[/name_m])
  • Flows will the other two (maybe something with a long ee sound, like [name_u]Reed[/name_u], to play off of De@n?).

So far, my list consists of [name_m]David[/name_m], [name_m]Desmond[/name_m] (nn [name_u]Desi[/name_u]), [name_m]Edward[/name_m] (nn [name_m]Dewey[/name_m] - I realize that is unusual), [name_m]Edmund[/name_m], and others that don’t fit the above criteria (not crucial), but nothing feels quite right! Any ideas?

I love [name_m]Desmond[/name_m]! And the nn [name_u]Desi[/name_u] is cute. I think it would work well with your boys names. Since the pps both suggested D names I’ll maybe try to fit some of your other criteria…

[name_m]Adriel[/name_m] -is three syllables so you’d then have a one syllable and two syllable and a three! I like the idea of them all having different length of names.
[name_m]Aldo[/name_m] -sounds very nice with Drexe|.

[name_m]Bodhi[/name_m] -does it sound too similar too De@n?

I’d go for [name_m]Desmond[/name_m], of the names you’ve suggested. I think it fits right in with your criteria and sounds just right with his brothers’ names.

Surprised it hasnt been mentioned but [name_m]Derek[/name_m] fits well [name_f]IMO[/name_f]. Its also not popular anymore if that has any bearing on your decision.

[name_m]Edward[/name_m] with nn [name_m]Dewey[/name_m] would be a great pick! I also think [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] would go very well with your boys. :slight_smile:
