I really love the name Huxson, and he would of course be nicknamed [name_m]Huck[/name_m], which I also love. I have received mostly positive feedback from friends and family, but you never can tell if they are just being nice. So, I am simply curious as to what others think of the name.
We haven’t one hundred percent decided on it yet. Other names on the list are: [name_u]Hudson[/name_u], [name_m]Tucker[/name_m], [name_m]Ryker[/name_m], [name_m]Donovan[/name_m], [name_m]Landon[/name_m], [name_u]River[/name_u], [name_m]Beckett[/name_m], [name_m]Brecken[/name_m].
If I’m being honest, I really don’t like Huxson. There is just something about it that doesn’t sound right. Have you thought of [name_m]Huxley[/name_m] instead?
I would spell it Huckson; it makes more sense. The “X” already makes an “S” sound at the end, so the “S” is kind of useless. Huxon would work, too, but it doesn’t look as good to me. I personally don’t like it and would much prefer [name_m]Huxley[/name_m] or [name_u]Hudson[/name_u].
I’ll be honest: I think it sounds made up and ridiculously trendy and I’d roll my eyes or cringe if I met a child with this name, and particularly this spelling. I also think in 10 years this style of name will be extremely dated.
Huxon or Huckson spelling makes much more sense, but I still dislike it.
I like [name_m]Huxley[/name_m] or [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] much, much better.
You could also get the NN [name_m]Huck[/name_m] from [name_m]Henry[/name_m], and I think could use it with [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] just fine as well.
I think the rest of your list is very nice, handsome, classy, easily spelled but still fairly uncommon names. I wouldn’t use [name_m]Ryker[/name_m] in the US because of Riker’s Island, but all the others are lovely
Pretty harsh so far… I do agree with the spelling. If used, it would definitely be spelled Huckson. I love the nickname [name_m]Huck[/name_m], but I do not like the name [name_m]Huxley[/name_m]. To me, that name sounds much worse than Huckson.
