DH and I are expecting! We have our list narrowed down to 2-3. (The [name_u]Cay[/name_u] sound is a family honor as well as a C name)
[name_f]Cailee[/name_f]/Cailey,
Caelia/Caylia or
[name_f]Calia[/name_f] (pronounced caw leah instead of cay leah). This isnt my pick…but just want to see if Caylia is prettier Caw-leah.
What are your thoughts? I have some concerns:
[name_f]Cailee[/name_f]-sort of nicknamey. And with so many Haileys…is it special enough? But I loove the 2 syllable and simplicity of it.
Caylia- I’m not quite sold yet on the “leah” ending. But I loove how pretty it sounds. I’ve also always been a fan of [name_f]Lilly[/name_f]…and I kind of hear it in Caylia.
Congratulations! I like the sounds of both [name_f]Cailee[/name_f] and Caylia (I’ve never heard Caylia before!). I don’t think [name_f]Cailee[/name_f] sounds too nicknamey at all.

Caylily - I’m not sure if this is a name or if I just made it up but I think it’s pretty!
[name_u]Casey[/name_u] - simple and 2 syllables, like [name_f]Cailee[/name_f]
[name_f]Calla[/name_f] - not strictly a cay name, but it is similar to the others and it’s also a type of lily!
I like [name_f]Cayley[/name_f]/Cailey. It’s a name on its own and it’s the nicknamey. [name_f]Cailey[/name_f] is enough and can be special if you want/make it special.
I prefer Caylia to Caelia but not a fan of either.
With [name_f]Calia[/name_f] I think there could be pronunciation issues. [name_u]Kay[/name_u]-leah / kal-leah

I do like [name_f]Calla[/name_f]…but again is it “[name_u]California[/name_u]” or “Call me” pronunciation? I just worry dd will do through that her whole life😬
I personally like Caylia the best of your options. It just sounds so pretty! And I’ve never heard it before either, which sounds like you’d like from your concern about [name_f]Cailee[/name_f] not being special enough.
I prefer Caylia or [name_f]Calla[/name_f]! [name_f]Kaylee[/name_f] and its variants are so popular on their own, you don’t even need to add them to other -aylee names before they just kinda lose sparkle IMO. [name_f]Calla[/name_f] is like [name_u]California[/name_u], like the flower. I don’t think people will have much issue with it.
