Thoughts on Amelia?

I’ve personally always loved the name [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], but recently it’s climbed up in popularity, being number 1 over here in the UK.
So I’m just wondering what everyone else’s opinion is on it;
too overused now?
Still a pretty yet elegant name?
Become trendy?

I’m unsure what I think now and whether I’d use it on a future daughter of mine, so I’d like to hear your opinions on it.

Also, which version of the name do you prefer?
The classic [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]?
The more trendier versions Amelea, [name_f]Amylia[/name_f], [name_f]Amilia[/name_f]?
A different version of the name [name_f]Emilia[/name_f], [name_f]Amelie[/name_f], etc?
Or any other suggestions of the name?

Thank you for any replies

how do you pronounce it? A-meal-ee-a or [name_m]Ah[/name_m]-me-[name_f]LEIA[/name_f] (or I could write this like [name_m]Ah[/name_m]-me-lay-a). I prefer [name_m]Ah[/name_m]-me-[name_f]LEIA[/name_f]. I love [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] (But I pronounce this [name_f]Em[/name_f]-me-lee-a). I know an Amelea who pronounces her name [name_m]Ah[/name_m]-me-lee-a which I love.

I think [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] pr . [name_m]Ah[/name_m] me lee a . I dont think becaming trendy but defintly overduse at least in UK . Althought personally I love more the french version [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] .

It’s a beautiful name and although it’s popular it’s a classic name and not something trendy or made-up. I think it’s a great name. For me, however, the popularity would keep me from using it.
I like [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] just as much as [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], if not a little more.

It’s a beautiful name but I am kind of tired of seeing Amelias here and there. If it keeps being used so often, it’s in the danger of becoming overdone but still a classy and girly name. [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] and [name_f]Emily[/name_f] are my other favorites.

I love the name; unfortunately, I feel like it is currently too popular for me to use, being #23 in the US. I do not think it’s trendy, as it’s been in use for so long and is very traditional. Spelling it Amylliyah, however, would be very trendy and cringe-worthy.

I really love the [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] spelling, it is valid and phonetically correct, and you can pronounce it more like Eh-MILL-ee-ah than Uh-MEAL-yah. I would never cringe to see [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] or [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] on a baby. They are beautiful and classic and a lot of people have simply recognized that fact. If you don’t want your little girl to share her name with 5 others in school, though, I would avoid both. [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] might look different on paper, and you may even stress the pronunciation, but when the teacher calls out for [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], she will still turn her head.

I am not a personal fan of [name_f]Amelie[/name_f], but it’s alright. Some similar names: [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f], [name_f]Amabel[/name_f], [name_f]Celia[/name_f], [name_f]Emily[/name_f], [name_f]Amalia[/name_f]
