Thoughts on Anna

I think instead of [name]Anneliese[/name], now I am leaning more towards just [name]Anna[/name]. What are your thoughts on [name]Anna[/name]? Too common? [name]How[/name] does it sound with big sis [name]Eliza[/name] [name]Joy[/name]?

Thinking [name]Anna[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] or [name]Anna[/name] [name]June[/name].

I love [name]Anna[/name]. It would be on my list if not for the fact that my last name is super short and my other three kids all have long first names. I think it is very cute with [name]Eliza[/name]!

I like [name]Anna[/name] a lot too! My husband desperately wants to name our next child this but unfortunately his niece is already named [name]Anna[/name] so it is out for us.

[name]Anna[/name] is a beautiful classic! ([name]Annie[/name] as a nn is precious too.) I prefer it to [name]Anneliese[/name] and think it goes great with sister [name]Eliza[/name]. [name]Truly[/name], [name]Anna[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] and [name]Anna[/name] [name]June[/name] are both charming in their own ways, and they both go with [name]Eliza[/name] [name]Joy[/name].

I personally prefer [name]Anneliese[/name], but then, my own name is [name]Janna[/name], so [name]Anna[/name] just looks kind of incomplete to me! That said, it’s a pretty classic that travels well and is very nice with [name]Eliza[/name].

To me, both [name]Anna[/name] and [name]Annie[/name] feel like nicknames, plus [name]Anneliese[/name] and [name]Eliza[/name] sound so adorable together. There’s nothing inherently wrong with [name]Anna[/name], it just feels kind of plain.

I adore [name]Anna[/name] (my mom hates it. lol) !

I like [name]Anna[/name] but I prefer [name]Annaliese[/name], especially with [name]Eliza[/name].

I love [name]Anna[/name]! It’s definitely one of my ‘classic’ favorites and I think [name]Anna[/name] [name]June[/name] / [name]Anna[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] and [name]Eliza[/name] [name]Joy[/name] sound perfect together. I think [name]Annaliese[/name] has its appeal, too, but I don’t prefer it to [name]Anna[/name]. I also don’t think [name]Anna[/name] sounds incomplete, but I also have a four-letter name so perhaps I’m biased.

I love the name [name]Anna[/name] and it was number one on my wish list for a little girl but DH’s ex-girlfriend was [name]Ann[/name], so I have a [name]Johanna[/name] instead.

[name]Anna[/name] and [name]Eliza[/name] sound perfect together, much more so than [name]Annaliese[/name] and [name]Eliza[/name]. [name]Anna[/name] [name]June[/name] and [name]Anna[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] are both beautiful!

[name]Anna[/name] is sweet and unfussy, a good alternative to the other two syllable ‘A’ names that are doing so well at the moment ([name]Ava[/name], [name]Ada[/name]).
It isn’t as strong as many of my preferred names (we all have different tastes), but an [name]Anna[/name] can be taken seriously as an adult and that is so important, just like a puppy a name is for life (only people tend to live longer than dogs).

I may be biased though, I know two fabulous Annas

I really like [name]Anna[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]. The long mn goes nicely with the short, spunky, cute & classic [name]Anna[/name]. I like it better than [name]Annaliese[/name]. I like [name]Anna[/name] and [name]Eliza[/name] together too.

I prefer [name]Anna[/name] to [name]Anneliese[/name]. I think it goes better with [name]Eliza[/name] too.

I like [name]Anneliese[/name], but I love [name]Anna[/name], I have done for years. [name]Anna[/name] [name]June[/name] and [name]Anna[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] are both stunning, though I think I prefer [name]Anna[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] ever so slightly. [name]Eliza[/name] and [name]Anna[/name] are perfect sisters, so classic and gorgeous.

[name]Anna[/name] and [name]Eliza[/name] are fantastic together! I really like the name [name]Anna[/name]-- so classic, likeable and lovely, yet so simple. It’s much nicer than [name]Anneliese[/name], in my opinion. I think [name]Anna[/name] is best with longer middles, so I vote [name]Anna[/name] [name]Josephine[/name].

It’s fine as a name, I suppose. I find it to be boring and common, it has no interest factor to me.

I’m having a similar problem. I want to call my dd [name]Annie[/name] when she’s little at least, so I was planning on going with perhaps [name]Annabel[/name]. I love [name]Annelise[/name], but it’s too similar to my dd #1’s middle name. Anyhow, since being on the boards and thinking about it a few days, I’m falling in love with the name [name]Anna[/name] more and more. Only problem is the lack of nickname potential versus a longer version. [name]Both[/name] [name]Anna[/name] and [name]Annelise[/name] sound good with [name]Eliza[/name] to me. They are both gorgeous names. I love the name [name]Eliza[/name] by the way too! Ok, I haven’t helped much, but I’ll be interested to see what you decide! It seems like most people outside the boards think [name]Anna[/name] is a little boring, but it’s beautiful!

[name]Anna[/name] is gorgeous… [name]Anna[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] is stunning (I actually considered that combo!) …

[name]How[/name] I love [name]Anna[/name]! My childhood nickname, so yes I’m biased. To me, [name]Anna[/name] is perfect. Perhaps my favourite short name (I tend to prefer longer names).

[name]Anna[/name] was my very first friend in life  We actually had the potential to continue in our friendship, but alas, we grew apart and lead very different lives. But even so, “[name]Anna[/name]” will always have a special place in my heart. Not to mention my love of Anna Bates in Downton Abbey!

[name]Annie[/name] was also a very beloved student I had once. She leads a bright and vibrant life and is loved by EVERYONE. And I mean it! She’s now a sophomore in college, but no matter how old, she still retains her innocent charm-- just like her name. I’m almost positive that [name]Annie[/name] is her formal name, but maybe it is [name]Anna[/name].

My 2 cents (only as far as sibset is concerned- I clearly stated that I love the name):
Annaleise seems too much beside [name]Eliza[/name]. [name]Anna[/name] and [name]Eliza[/name] seem destined to be with one another. Likewise, I’d pick [name]June[/name] bc in comparison to [name]Joy[/name], [name]Josephine[/name] is quite long. Therefore, I say [name]Anna[/name] [name]June[/name] & [name]Eliza[/name] [name]Joy[/name] - very cute indeed!
