Considering the name [name_f]Athena[/name_f]. Last name starts with “s”, has three syllables, and is Italian. I think the name is strong but I cant seem to find a middle name to go with it. Im not a fan of common mn like marie, lynn, rose etc.
So any thoughts/opinions/suggestions are helpful! Thanks!
I absolutely love [name_f]Athena[/name_f], and she’s one of my favourites! She’s so strong and tough sounding, and I like the goddess connection. I really struggle to find middles that match her strength, but a few I like:
Since you mentioned Italian, I’m gonna mix a few Italian names in there as well as some Greek names and more generic but uncommon names, but I feel like a lot of the middle name is going to depend on the ending of your last name too, so I’m hoping it’s like [name_m]Salvino[/name_m] or [name_m]Salvatore[/name_m] or something because a lot of these are going to end up ending in A
I absolutely adore [name_f]Athena[/name_f]! [name_m]Just[/name_m] be prepared for people to bring up the goddess a lot–it would be good for her parents to be familiar with all the mythology and stories involving [name_f]Athena[/name_f] so they aren’t blindsided by references people make. (Like the Arachne story, her appearance in the Odyssey, etc.)
Regarding middle names, I don’t know what your style is so I don’t know what to suggest, but it’s better to choose a name you love than just a random name that sounds good.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Athena[/name_f], but partner won’t let me use it! And sounds like it would flow nicely with your surname.
I’m finding it hard to recommend a mn though, because while you’ve said what you don’t like, you haven’t really said what IS important to you. [name_m]Just[/name_m] sound? Or meaning? [name_f]Honour[/name_f] names if they aren’t to common/plain?
