I love [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]! I’ve only known one girl with the name [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] and she went by [name_u]Gus[/name_u]-- I thought it was cute. I also like the suggestions of Auggie & [name_u]Gussy[/name_u].
All of my favorite names! I have a [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] (a family name) and [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] is a family name that has been handed down through the generations. Once as a first name, and used often as a middle name in our family. [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is a name I also love, and hope one of my daughter’s will use it. We also have the name [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] used often in our family.
I’m going to be the minority vote here and say [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is not my favorite. Without the [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] it feels incomplete. [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] gives it a regal feel. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] that helps!

@lo - do not even start with [name_f]Susannah[/name_f], LOL!! I do still love [name_f]Susannah[/name_f], but hubby has said absolutely no more S names, and we was never a big [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] fan, so I have had to let her go, for now…
Oh my gosh, I [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] [name_f]Augusta[/name_f]! I think it’s lovely! About 10 years ago, I coached a little girl named [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] and it really took me by surprise. Unexpected name, but still very recognized. Awesome!
I think [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is very sweet, and so is [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f].
I personally wouldn’t go with a nickname for [name_f]Augusta[/name_f], none of the short forms appeal to me half as much as [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] in full.

“Sweet [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]” That’s what my pediatrician said the first time he came to examine my beautiful baby girl in the hospital. Now, 28 years later, I always tell that story on her birthday.
