Hello.
Im loving the name [name_m]Bear[/name_m].
Thinking of using it as a middle name.
Thoughts on [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] [name_m]Bear[/name_m] ?
Thanks.
I’m loving the name [name_m]Bear[/name_m] too!! I also used as a 2nd mn. I don’t like the name [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] but I guess it sort of works with [name_m]Bear[/name_m]?
Cute nickname but not something I’d put on a birth certificate. [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] [name_m]Bear[/name_m] is fine.
I like it! My son is [name_m]Callum[/name_m] [name_m]Bernard[/name_m] so we call him [name_m]Callum[/name_m] [name_m]Bear[/name_m] a lot. It sounds great with [name_m]Thomas[/name_m]!
Fine as a middle name, and [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] is a nice solid classic that balances the cutesy-quirkiness of [name_m]Bear[/name_m] well.
[name_m]Just[/name_m] be warned that [name_m]Bear[/name_m] seems to be the celeb baby name du jour at the moment, in the UK at least, and could come across as a bit bandwagon-y. I do see the appeal though: it’s sweet but also a bit rough-and-tumble.
[name_m]Thomas[/name_m] [name_m]Bear[/name_m] is fine. I also like it spelled [name_m]Baer[/name_m].
I think it can get away as a middle name, but definitely a no-no as a first.
[name_f]Cheryl[/name_f] & [name_m]Liam[/name_m] [name_m]Payne[/name_m] named their son [name_m]Bear[/name_m], and got a load of stick for it.
I can see it as a middle name or a nickname. I think [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] [name_m]Bear[/name_m] works!
My cousin’s name is [name_u]Barrett[/name_u] [name_u]Presley[/name_u], and they call him [name_m]Bear[/name_m]. I think it is adorable. I think if you wanted to go the [name_u]Barrett[/name_u] route that [name_u]Barrett[/name_u] [name_u]Jude[/name_u] or [name_u]Barrett[/name_u] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m], but [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] [name_m]Bear[/name_m] and [name_m]Jefferson[/name_m] [name_m]Bear[/name_m] sound cute to me as well.
I would only use it as a nickname.
My son has a friend named [name_m]Bear[/name_m] whose full name is [name_u]Barrett[/name_u]. I think it’s a cool nn! “[name_m]Just[/name_m]” [name_m]Bear[/name_m] works fine as a MN but lacks substance as a FN. [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] [name_m]Bear[/name_m] is nice.
I love [name_m]Bear[/name_m]! I’d personally use it as a mn or a nn for [name_m]Bernard[/name_m] or other similar names, but that’s mostly because I am not an adventurous namer. [name_m]Bjorn[/name_m] means ‘[name_m]Bear[/name_m]’ and is a pretty common name where I live, so objectively I have to say it’s fine, although I’d maybe avoid using it as a first name unless you are prepared to defend it. All said, I really do love it and it would be so cute with siblings named [name_m]Leo[/name_m], [name_m]Fox[/name_m], [name_u]Kit[/name_u], or [name_m]Wolf[/name_m].
Also, I wanted to add, [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] [name_m]Bear[/name_m] is a stunning name!
I find it too literal for a given name, but think it’s cute as a nickname. Some other bear names to consider:
[name_m]Arthur[/name_m]
[name_u]Barrett[/name_u]
[name_m]Bernard[/name_m]
[name_m]Bjorn[/name_m]
[name_m]Bruin[/name_m]
[name_m]Dov[/name_m]
[name_m]Espen[/name_m]
[name_u]Oberon[/name_u]
[name_m]Orson[/name_m]
Torben
My favorite is [name_u]Oberon[/name_u], which easily lends itself to “[name_m]Bear[/name_m]” as a nn.
I think [name_m]Bear[/name_m] is adorable as a middle name!
I also like [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_u]Barrett[/name_u], as you can do a double nn and call him [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] [name_m]Bear[/name_m]
I like [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] [name_m]Bear[/name_m]. I’m not really a fan of [name_m]Bear[/name_m] as a first name but it does make a cute and unexpected middle name.
