Thoughts On Baby Names- Feedback welcome!

My husband and I have one daughter, [name]Arabella[/name] [name]Jean[/name]. We have a one-syllable last name that begins with “H.”

Here are our potential sibling names and I’d love feedback and suggestions. All of our middle names are family-related names. We prefer to avoid nicknames.

Girls:
[name]Alice[/name] [name]Peninah[/name]
[name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Bess[/name]
[name]Wilhelmina[/name] Lynore
[name]Evangeline[/name] [name]Joy[/name]

Boys:
[name]Arthur[/name] [name]Lewis[/name]
[name]Theodore[/name] [name]James[/name]
[name]Charles[/name] [name]Julian[/name]
[name]Oliver[/name] Tayloe

Girls:
[name]Alice[/name] [name]Peninah[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Alice[/name]. [name]Don[/name]'t really like [name]Peninah[/name].
[name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Bess[/name] - [name]Genevieve[/name] is nice, really don’t like [name]Bess[/name].
[name]Wilhelmina[/name] Lynore - NMS but it’s ok.
[name]Evangeline[/name] [name]Joy[/name] - [name]Don[/name]'t like [name]Evangeline[/name] at all. [name]Joy[/name] is a nice mn.

Boys:
[name]Arthur[/name] [name]Lewis[/name] - [name]Arthur[/name] is NMS but a good name. I prefer [name]Louis[/name], but [name]Lewis[/name] is fine.
[name]Theodore[/name] [name]James[/name] - [name]Love[/name]!!!
[name]Charles[/name] [name]Julian[/name] - It’s nice.
[name]Oliver[/name] Tayloe - [name]Oliver[/name] is nice… is Tayloe supposed to be [name]Taylor[/name]? If so, I’m not so sure about the double -er endings.

Girls:
[name]Alice[/name] [name]Peninah[/name] - This is my favorite from your list. I think it’s perfect.
[name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Bess[/name] - Hits me wrong. It feels very… dusty. I don’t know how else to say it.
[name]Wilhelmina[/name] Lynore - [name]Wilhelmina[/name] isn’t my style at all, so I’m no help here. Also, why Lynore?
[name]Evangeline[/name] [name]Joy[/name] - Very sweet name. Bouncy and flouncy.

Boys:
[name]Arthur[/name] [name]Lewis[/name] - So cute! It’s a comfortable name.
[name]Theodore[/name] [name]James[/name] - Neutral.
[name]Charles[/name] [name]Julian[/name] - I’d prefer [name]Julian[/name] [name]Charles[/name]. The ‘s’ sound seems to absorb the ‘j’ sound.
[name]Oliver[/name] Tayloe - I don’t really like the double -er ending either, if it’s supposed to be [name]Taylor[/name]. I love [name]Oliver[/name] [name]Lewis[/name], though!

It’s supposed to be Tayloe, not [name]Taylor[/name]… It’s a family name (both women [name]Mary[/name]-Tayloe and men Tayloe [name]Fielding[/name]). I like that it isn’t [name]Taylor[/name] but I can already see that people might think continuously think it’s a typo. Thanks!

Oh and Lynore is for [name]Lynn[/name] and [name]Lenora[/name] which are both family names on both sides. We wanted to try and include “[name]Lyn[/name]” in there somewhere but weren’t sure how to do it.

I love all of your name sets. I was thinking I may not love Wilhemina as much as [name]Mina[/name], but since you can have [name]Mina[/name] as a nn it wins me over. I love this older generation name trend. Gorgeous, and about time! [name]Genevieve[/name] is a huge love of mine as well. Same with the boys, love all the combos, but I think [name]Arthur[/name] [name]Lewis[/name] is my hands down absolute favorite.

I hadn’t thought about that. Thanks!

[name]Love[/name] [name]Alice[/name] Lynora!
