[name_f]Bria[/name_f] is lovely! It would work well with a long last name, and it’s not too plain because of the less familiar B starting. I think it’s a different enough sound not to be confused with [name_f]Brielle[/name_f] or [name_f]Brianne[/name_f].
I’ve never met a [name_f]Bria[/name_f] before, but would love to! What a gorgeous name!
I do think [name_f]Bria[/name_f] could be a nickname for [name_f]Brianna[/name_f], but if that doesn’t work, could also stand on its own. It’s quite lovely.
[name_f]Bria[/name_f] can certainly stand alone, short but distinctive when you say it, like [name_f]Leah[/name_f] or [name_f]Maya[/name_f]. And it sounds unique enough that it won’t get confused with other [name_f]Bri[/name_f]- names. [name_f]Brianne[/name_f] has a long A sound that stands out, unlike [name_f]Bria[/name_f] with the softer A ending. They are two separate names to me.
I actually find [name_f]Bria[/name_f] a little confusing. I assume you pronounce it bree-uh, but because it looks so similar to [name_f]Briar[/name_f], I would be tempted to pronounce it like that also.
I knew a girl called Breah, but any spelling looks a little odd to me, sorry.
I definitely don’t think that [name_f]Bria[/name_f] is too common! Girls name [name_f]Brielle[/name_f] typically go by just [name_f]Bri[/name_f] if they use a nickname (I don’t know many [name_f]Brielle[/name_f]'s, either!.
I think [name_f]Bria[/name_f] is pretty (and I love love the nickname [name_f]Bree[/name_f]). But if you want something similar but set apart from the popular [name_f]Brianne[/name_f]/[name_f]Brianna[/name_f]/Brienne/[name_f]Brielle[/name_f]'s of the world - what about [name_f]Brenna[/name_f]?
I love pretty much all [name_f]Bri[/name_f]- names! They’re so pretty. [name_f]Bria[/name_f] is so cute! I agree that she won’t get confused because of the different sounds and different nicknames for other names. I’ve actually never known a [name_f]Brielle[/name_f], but I love that name to pieces. I knew a couple of girls named [name_f]Brianna[/name_f], though. Like I said, [name_f]Bria[/name_f] is its own name and I don’t think she’ll get lost in a sea of [name_f]Bree[/name_f]'s. Now if she was an [name_f]Emma[/name_f] or an [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] on the other hand… =P
