I don’t think I’ve ever met a [name_u]Bryce[/name_u] (male or female), but I came across the name because of the actress [name_u]Bryce[/name_u] [name_u]Dallas[/name_u] [name_u]Howard[/name_u].
What are your thoughts on naming a girl [name_u]Bryce[/name_u]? Any associations?
I know a few people named [name_u]Bryce[/name_u]. They’re all boys. I prefer the name for a girl. I think [name_u]Bryce[/name_u] could become like [name_u]James[/name_u] where it’s becoming increasingly popular to use for girls. No associations.
A bit harsh for my tastes, but it’s not bad -kind of distinctive but familiar, unexpected but easy to say, a bit like [name_f]Bryony[/name_f], [name_f]Grace[/name_f], [name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Elise[/name_f], [name_u]Briar[/name_u], [name_u]Blair[/name_u] and [name_u]Casey[/name_u] blended into one name
I’ve realized I don’t like y’s much as i’s. But it’s OK, just not my style. I knew one male [name_u]Bryce[/name_u], no female ones. To me, it does not have a pretty sound, but not every name has to. [name_f]Enid[/name_f] doesn’t either and I love [name_f]Enid[/name_f].
Bryce has the same vibe as Royce for me and isn’t a name I care for because it has a harsh sound but not a dealbreaker, and choose what you love. I have known two and both were males. I prefer Kai, Lise, Elise, Luise, Mya, Ziva……
As someone who doesn’t know the actress, I could only ever imagine it on a boy! It sounds a bit dated to me - maybe because of its similarity to names like Brian, Brandon and Brianna. For a girl, I’d recommend Blair, Blythe, Belle, Billie, Bea, Briar or Bryony for a similar but more feminine and more modern B name!
I grew up with a lot of boys named [name_u]Bryce[/name_u], and tbh they were all somewhat *ssholes so I don’t have nice associations with the name for myself. I would rather meet a girl with the name than a boy though.
I love [name_u]Bryce[/name_u] [name_u]Dallas[/name_u] [name_u]Howard[/name_u]! Her name, not so much. She makes the name more accessible though, so technically it could work for a girl, but it just isn’t to my personal liking, for boy or girl.
I was thinking of [name_u]Bryce[/name_u] the other day, actually. It’s kind of similar to my own name. You don’t hear it much these days, but I think it’s a fine name. It definitely leans more masculine to me, but I have worked with a female [name_u]Brice[/name_u] before. I could see it like [name_u]Tyler[/name_u], to where it’s pretty masculine but not unheard of on girls.
I like it for either gender, [name_u]Bryce[/name_u] [name_u]Dallas[/name_u] [name_u]Howard[/name_u] is really cool and a nice namesake I think it’s fresh and unexpected on a girl!
I don’t like the name in general, but I think it works fine for either gender if you do like it. [name_u]Bryce[/name_u] [name_u]Dallas[/name_u] [name_u]Howard[/name_u] is pretty popular and relevant right now so I think if you had any issues with it as a girl name you could easily reference her!
