Thoughts on Chase?

I’m really crushing on [name_u]Chase[/name_u] after watching the TV series House, my husband said he loved it so I’m really starting to consider it.
We aren’t expecting, just like to think ahead.

What I’m wondering is, does it sound too trendy and is it enough of a name?
I don’t really like surname names, but this one feels different.

And, it’s also a word name! Could this be a problem? Word names aren’t usually my thing either, but boy names are hard enough to agree on.
What do you think?
(We are thinking [name_u]Chase[/name_u] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] M)

I’m not hip on word names or surnames myself, so [name_u]Chase[/name_u] isn’t one of my personal favorites, but [name_u]Chase[/name_u] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] is a great name. I think it definitely is “enough of a name,” on it’s own, and for those times when first and middle names are used, it pairs wonderfully with the longer and more formal [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]. I know two [name_u]Chase[/name_u]'s–both are in high school and their name seems to be one that grows well with a person. It may fall under the trendy category, so i guess it somewhat depends on whether that bothers you or no.

To me, [name_u]Chase[/name_u] is just okay, but if you both like it I say go for it. It does seem a little trendy at the moment, but I think that it’s a solid enough name that it will age pretty well regardless of that. [name_u]Chase[/name_u] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] is a great combo!

I know several Chases in their teens and twenties, so it feels kind of dated to me. I really don’t have an opinion on it, but Dr. [name_u]Chase[/name_u] was a cutie.

I think of dr. [name_u]Chase[/name_u], he looks exactly like Husband so good association! I think it’s a nice word and a nice name.

I love House, think Dr. [name_u]Chase[/name_u] is hot and adore the accent. As a standalone name, I’m not sure how I feel about it… The only person I know in real life named [name_u]Chase[/name_u] is an unlovely specimen of a human, but that’s hardly any reason to hold it against the name. I don’t think it’s too trendy. Certainly not on par with [name_u]Mason[/name_u], [name_u]Hunter[/name_u], or other surname-esque names.

And [name_u]Chase[/name_u] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] is lovely

The other night friends and I were talking baby names. [name_u]Chase[/name_u] came up. ALL of us agreed that every [name_u]Chase[/name_u] we’ve known has been a little shit lol. We’ve never known a well-behaved, polite, nice guy/boy named [name_u]Chase[/name_u]. We agreed that was strange because we can’t think of another name where every kid with it is a troublemaker.

That input probably isn’t helpful to you at all, so I do think [name_u]Chase[/name_u] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] is a very nice pairing.

I like it, but it does make me think of the bank/credit card company.

Hm, so generally it’s presumed dated rather than trendy… I think I can deal with that if [name_u]Chase[/name_u] is a name we can both agree on  thanks guys
