I’ve been away from nameberry for a few months now, and upon returning I’m rethinking my girls list! So I’m looking for some thoughts and opinions on [name_f]Coletta[/name_f]:
Is it too frilly to also be strong?
Is it too Italian for a potential child who would only be loosely of Italian descent? (Great grandparents Italian)
What are your thoughts on the nickname [name_f]Coco[/name_f]?
Surname starts with Q- is it therefore too alliterative?
Would it ‘fit’ as a sister with the other girls names in my signature?
And- lastly- what do you imagine a little girl called [name_f]Coletta[/name_f] ‘[name_f]Coco[/name_f]’ to be like?

Too frilly? no. Too Italian? no. Too alliterative? no. Does it fit in with your list? yes.
I’m not a fan of [name_f]Coco[/name_f]. Sorry. It makes me think of chocolate or a poodle or a stripper (I think that’s because Of Ice [name_f]Tea[/name_f]'s wife)
The imagery I have of [name_f]Coletta[/name_f] is very different from [name_f]Coco[/name_f]. [name_f]Coletta[/name_f] feels much more refined. I do love [name_f]Etta[/name_f] as a nickname. Or [name_f]Coretta[/name_f] is very cool, espeially due to the association with [name_f]Coretta[/name_f] [name_m]Scott[/name_m] [name_m]King[/name_m].
