Thoughts on Cooper

We have our third (unknown gender) on the way.
Older sis - Indiana, younger brother - Tully.

Girls name we have two options we love. Boys names have been so hard this time, we have gone around and around. Hubby and both kids like Cooper. We are in Australia and this name is quite popular.

I like the name. But do I love it? Not sure. It feels safe, and most familiar out of our older kids choices. What do others think of Cooper paired with the older siblings names?

I’m fond of [name_u]Cooper[/name_u]. It goes nicely with [name_u]Indiana[/name_u] and [name_u]Tully[/name_u] I think, though it does jump out as the most familiar name. If you wanted something a little less common, you could go along the lines of [name_u]Kemper[/name_u], [name_m]Kester[/name_m], [name_m]Kessler[/name_m] for a similar sound &/or vibe.

Thank you, I agree it goes nicely with the other names. Definitely the most popular name we have landed on.

Our biggest struggle this time around has been a lot of our previous favourite names have been used by close friends, particularly the more unique names we liked. Appreciate your feedback!

[name_u]Indiana[/name_u] and Tully!!

[name_u]Cooper[/name_u] is cool - kind of zippy and interesting. Niche but it reminds me of the show BBC Ghosts (this is probably why I like it…) I’ve also only met one [name_u]Cooper[/name_u] here in the UK and he was a sweet kid so I have positive associations. Would it be my first thought with your kids? Probably not, but it still works.

[name_m]Cosmo[/name_m], [name_m]Prosper[/name_m], and [name_m]Casper[/name_m] came to mind as alternatives :person_shrugging:

Thanks! I loved zephyr and [name_u]Freddie[/name_u] but both names have been used by close friends and I’m not comfortable using the same. Why is naming so hard?!

While [name_u]Cooper[/name_u] is a good name, I personally don’t think it jives too well with the sib names especially if his is popular but theirs are not.But it’s obviously your call. Don’t be pressured into a name you might not like!

Here are some other suggestions that might strike the same vein as the siblings:
