Thoughts on Cynthia

[name]Cynthia[/name] is one of my latest name obsessions. It sounds fresh again to me and seems delicate and ethereal but using [name]Thea[/name] (not [name]Cindy[/name]!!) as a nn gives it a little spunk. What do you all think? Is it still an 80s, big bangs, mass-market kind of name?

I love [name]Cynthia[/name], [name]Thea[/name], and [name]Cindy[/name]…

I went to school with two [name]Cynthia[/name]. Although one spelled it her ethnic way, Sinthiya.

They’re 90’s babies, I think it can work.

I really like [name]Cynthia[/name]. I feel the same way about it as you do, very pretty and soft and delicate and I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Thea[/name] as a nn.

It’s ok. It’s still seems very 80s to me.

I really like [name]Cynthia[/name] too, but I’ve been told it’s still a little stale.

I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Thea[/name], but I’m honestly becoming concerned about it’s popularity. I’m seeing it A LOT on Nameberry! Enough to make me not want to use it! (Popularity is a deal-breaker for me. You might feel differently.)

If you do [name]Cynthia[/name], DEFINITELY do not go the [name]Cindy[/name] route. THAT seems stale to me - big time.

I like [name]Cynthia[/name] and [name]Cindy[/name] a lot:) [name]Cynthia[/name] is very pretty!
