There’s something that I just love about [name]Dahlia[/name]. It’s so unexpected, unusual and classic all in one. I would pronounce it as [name]Dolly[/name]-UH.
[name]Black[/name] [name]Dahlia[/name] associations aside, what are your thoughts?
What are your favorite nicknames for [name]Dahlia[/name]?
[name]How[/name] about middle names? - Considered using [name]Annabel[/name] after my mother but I’m not sure, I think it’s too A heavy. Also considered [name]Marie[/name] after my great grandmother.
I love it, but have heard it pronounced various ways- Dahl ya, Dahl ee ya, [name]Doll[/name] ya, [name]Dolly[/name] uh…like [name]Natalia[/name].
I think that [name]Dolly[/name] is so sweet, but obviously you have to pronounce it [name]Doll[/name] ya or [name]Doll[/name] ee uh.
[name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Marie[/name] flows a bit better than [name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Annabell[/name]. [name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Mirabel[/name] would be cute!
I really like [name]Dahlia[/name]. It’s not too popular, but not too weird either. I pronounce it the same as you too. I like it sounds very feminine and will be nice adult name too.
I don’t like [name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Annabel[/name]. I think you are right, there are too many 'a’s. I like [name]Dahlia[/name] [name]Marie[/name] better.

[name]Dahlia[/name] and [name]Paige[/name]
[name]Dahlia[/name] and [name]Sawyer[/name]
[name]Dahlia[/name] and [name]Jude[/name]
[name]Dahlia[/name] and [name]Marlon[/name]
Taz, the only pronunciation I like is [name]Doll[/name]-EE-UH. I think it just depends on where you’re from and your accent. I’m not sure if I like [name]Dolly[/name] as a nn because it automatically makes me think of [name]Dolly[/name] [name]Parton[/name]. No thanks lol. I do however like just [name]Doll[/name]. A friend of mine suggested [name]Lia[/name] which I think is sweet. And I love your mn suggestion of [name]Mirabel[/name]. It flows rather well and is a very pretty name. Thanks for your input
My favorite of the flower names. Honestly, it’s the only one I like. It’s exotic but not weird and all the variations in pronunciation aren’t really all that different from each other, at least to my ear. I would use it in a heartbeat.
[name]Dahlia[/name] is gorgeous. I’ve never heard of anyone emphasizing the second or third syllables, though; normally the American pronunciation is DAH-lee-uh or DAHL-ya and the British version is [name]DAY[/name]-lee-uh.
I love [name]Dahlia[/name] and it was on my list at one time. Out of the flower names it actually sounds the most mysterious, velvety out of the flower names.
