Thoughts on Daisy?

My partner and I spent hours looking at names last night and [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] came up. I’ve always wondered why it hasn’t become more popular with all the [name_f]Lily[/name_f]'s out there!

What are everyone’s thoughts on [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]?

I really like it, though more as a nn for [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f]. I predict that it will get extremely popular in the near future.

Very sweet name. [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] Wilde just chose this for her daughter, so I think it may get a little bump in popularity.

It’s one of my top choices! A sweet and friendly name

Easily one of my favorite flower names.

I really like [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]! The makeup artist who saved our wedding was named [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] and I had the sweetest student in class with the name last year. My only concern is the cute factor- is it going to age well?

I love it! It’s a sweet, sunny name.

I love it. I have [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] as a way to get to [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] (unintentionally, I loved them both and found [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] would work so I’d get both :p) but I loooove [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] by itself too.

I really like it and think it is a great alternative to [name_f]Lily[/name_f] & [name_f]Rose[/name_f]

I think [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] is a very sweet, literary choice. [name_u]Love[/name_u] it.

I lovelovelove [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]! I seem to have vacillated between varying degrees of love for her, but right now, she’s one of my favorite floral names (and nicknames!). My problem with [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] is that I can’t find a combo I like with [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] as a FN, but I’m not sure I like [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] or [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] as first names, either (and while I adore [name_f]Madelief[/name_f], which means “daisy”, I feel like it would be way too much for most Americans.

Right now I have [name_f]Arianne[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] as my second choice for a girl, and am considering [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] in a couple of other spots, too, and I’m hoping to find a full name for [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] I love (or just a combo with [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] as a FN!). I adore [name_f]Daisy[/name_f], though–I love coming across the name!

You guys are always so positive! Thank you for the feedback. I think [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] will be a name that will grow on me. I like that it isn’t too popular. I was waiting to hear the name of [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] Wilde’s baby because I love her first choice of [name_m]Otis[/name_m]. Looks like she picked a good one!

I adore the name [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]! I think it’s very sweet, yet classic. I think that, over here, it went undiscovered for quite a while, but now that [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] Wilde has used it, it might go up in popularity. I think it’s a gorgeous choice and it fits in perfectly with [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Lily[/name_f], [name_f]Sophie[/name_f], etc.

[name_u]Love[/name_u], love, love the name [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]! It’s so stunning, with the perfect touch of whimsy.

I think [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] is quite lovely.

I saw [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] in [name_m]Little[/name_m] Women when I was young and have been in love with it ever since. [name_m]Even[/name_m] though it’s a flower name I have always thought of it as a strong name. It does scare me though that it will be too popular to use by the time I have children.

[name_f]Daisy[/name_f] is a very sweet name!!! I have always known people with this name to be incredibly generous, motherly, and simple.

My only hesitation with it is that it to me it is a little girl or older woman’s name (can’t imagine a 30-50 year old with this name) and it is not really a girl who may be a tomboy.
