it would be pronounced the same as Irene!
i prefer it pronounced ee-ree-nee or eye-ree-nee, but i definitely see the appeal!
I’m a little unsure about the spelling! For me the entire appeal of Eirene is that it’s spelled like the original Greek version of the name, pronounced ee-REE-nee. If you’re going for eye-REEN, I’d make things simple by just spelling it Irene.
It’s a nice sound! It still feels a tiny bit dated to me (I prefer the sweet freshness of ee-REE-nee) but it’s definitely a classy, elegant choice.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] the name (its also my name!), though with that spelling it is pronounced ee-ree-nee. [name_f]Irene[/name_f] is the americanized version of the name (also love this name), and it is what my grandmother goes by in america, but there might be some confusion with pronunciation if the americanized name is spelled like the traditional greek version.
I’d assume it was pronounced ee-ree-nee but it is a nice and intriguing name
