Thoughts on Elisabetta :)

I’ve come across a name recently that I like and want to know if you guys think it’s a nice name, too. [name]Elisabetta[/name]. I think it’s cute, especially with a middle name of [name]Chiara[/name]. Italian names are some of my favorites! Nicknames would probably be [name]Ellie[/name], [name]Elise[/name], [name]Elisa[/name], or [name]Betty[/name]. I would love your guys’ opinions! <3

I love [name]Elisabetta[/name]!

The only one [name]Ive[/name] ever known went by [name]Libby[/name], but really, you get the benefit of all the nns for [name]Elizabeth[/name] with that extra something special. I love the idea of [name]Elisa[/name] as a nickname.

Italian names personally arent my style. [name]Elisabetta[/name] I think would be better as [name]Elisabeth[/name]. However, I do love the nicknames [name]Ellie[/name] and [name]Betty[/name]. I don’t get the fascination suddenly with the name [name]Elise[/name], I don’t like it. I feel the same way about the name [name]Elisa[/name].

I love [name]Elisabetta[/name]! [name]Elisa[/name], [name]Ella[/name], and [name]Etta[/name] would be my favorite nn for it, but I used [name]Elisabetta[/name] nn [name]Betty[/name] in a story once.

I like it! My husband and I considered [name]Elisabetta[/name] to honor his grandmother [name]Betty[/name], but we decided to stick with [name]Elisabeth[/name]. I like [name]Elise[/name] and [name]Ellie[/name] for nicknames. Good choice.

It is pretty but a little too frilly for me. I think a little girl can pull it off and there are the cute nicknames that can come with it.

It’s a sweet and beautiful name, with that something special because of its rareness and uniqueness. However, it makes me think of [name]Elisabetta[/name] (often called [name]Elisabeth[/name]) in the opera [name]Don[/name] [name]Carlo[/name] by [name]Verdi[/name], whose character goes through some very sad things. The connotation, though she isn’t a bad character, brings the name down a little for me.
