I LOVE the name Emily. It’s a beautiful classic name. While I know it was at its apex of popularity at the turn of the millennium, there was an early Victorian novelist named Emily Brontë. Therefore, there is no need to worry about it being a dated name.
It’s one of those perfect names – adorable on a little girl, but with enough strength to be an adult name. I think it’s a great match with your other children’s names.
Also, I will add [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_m]Dickinson[/name_m] – an American Transcendentalist who changed the world of poetry forever.
[name_m]Wonderful[/name_m] name. Wish it was mine.
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you like the [name_f]Emilie[/name_f] spelling? Still classic, but kind of fun that all of your kids could have different endings (Harry and [name_f]Emily[/name_f] both end in ‘y’).
[name_f]Emily[/name_f] is lovely - classic, bright and sweet but with strength too. I like the [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Bronte[/name_f] connection
I LOVE [name_f]Emily[/name_f]! She feels romantic, classic, and reminds me of [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Brontë[/name_f] and [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_m]Dickinson[/name_m], so I get a very poetic, stormy, passionate feel from her!
I love [name_f]Emily[/name_f]! Such a lovely timeless classic that also has a fun, sweet vibe to it.
[name_f]Emily[/name_f] is great, and it fits in well with [name_m]Harry[/name_m], [name_m]Jack[/name_m] and [name_f]Isla[/name_f]. I know a young [name_f]Emily[/name_f] and it’s such a cute name; I also know adult Emilys and it also suits them as a smart and polished name.
[name_f]Emily[/name_f] sounds perfect with the sibset. Also, all the girls will have vowel beginnings and all the boys will have consonants so there’s that! Overall [name_f]Emily[/name_f] sounds good!
Obviously I’m going to be biased because it’s my name and I love it.
I think it goes perfectly with the sibset and feels bright, classic and jolly.
I think it was about the most common name when I was born but nowadays I would be surprised but delighted to hear a newborn with the name [name_f]Emily[/name_f]!
Also a couple of years ago I did a placement in a hospital where there were a lot of elderly patients and two of them said that I had a nice/beautiful name! Probably because it’s less well known in that generation.
I adore [name_f]Emily[/name_f] !!
Emily is sweet It is very bright and smart. I know a lot but the youngest is probably 5, so it would be nice to see it on a little baby. It is a bit too common for my liking but that seems to just be me. I also love the nickname Em! I do love it with Harry, Jack and Isla, it works perfectly!
