Thoughts on Enid?

While I think [name_f]Enid[/name_f] & [name_f]Iris[/name_f] go well together, I am not sure if the non-name-nerd world is ready for [name_f]Enid[/name_f]'s revival just yet – hopefully soon! So the question is do you want to lead the charge and hope [name_f]Enid[/name_f]'s popularity increases, or risk it feeling out of its time. If you love it, will the un-support of others make you love it less?

If you like that long ‘EE’ sound maybe you can look for other vintage names like [name_f]Vera[/name_f] (a personal fave of mine), [name_f]Dena[/name_f], or [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f].
If you like the ‘d’ ending, maybe you’ll like [name_f]Bridget[/name_f], or [name_f]Marigold[/name_f], [name_f]Margaret[/name_f], [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f]/[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f], or [name_f]Sinead[/name_f].
Other names to go with [name_f]Iris[/name_f]: [name_f]Una[/name_f], [name_f]Alice[/name_f], [name_f]Imogen[/name_f], [name_f]Olive[/name_f], [name_f]Althea[/name_f], [name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Mabel[/name_f], Elena, Andra, Sage

Best of luck name hunting. I truly hope [name_f]Enid[/name_f] & [name_f]Ingrid[/name_f] will rise up the charts soon.

Personally, not a fan of the sound or the look of it. It isn’t bad but I wouldn’t choose it. [name_f]Iris[/name_f] is lovely!

I don’t see anyone smiling at the sound of [name_f]Enid[/name_f].
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_f]Edith[/name_f] make a lovely pair!

Almost exactly what I was going to say.

p.s. I love [name_f]Iris[/name_f]! It’s on our list if we have another girl.

[name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_f]Enid[/name_f] sound nice together, but [name_f]Enid[/name_f] is rather unpleasant sounding. Please don’t do [name_f]Edith[/name_f]…the “th” is a mouthful, and I always think of [name_f]Edith[/name_f] Bunker from All in the Family.
