really loving the name george lately and it has a personal connection to me. the only thing i don’t like is the nickname, georgie. i despise it😂 do you think people would call a george, georgie? are there any other nicknames i could default to, to avoid georgie?
Not sure but I wouldn’t personally give [name_u]George[/name_u] a nn. I guess [name_m]Geo[/name_m] is the only one I can think of! I’ve heard of girls named [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] or [name_f]Georgina[/name_f] going by [name_u]Georgie[/name_u] but I’ve never thought to call a male [name_u]George[/name_u] anything other than [name_u]George[/name_u] tbh!
I like [name_u]George[/name_u] btw, a warm & friendly name 
I don’t think most people would nickname [name_u]George[/name_u] to [name_u]Georgie[/name_u], unless maybe he asked them to. In my opinion, [name_u]Georgie[/name_u] is typically a “cutesy” nickname, meaning close family and friends might call him that but he probably wouldn’t go to a job interview and introduce himself “Hi, nice to meet you, I’m Georgie.”

I think maybe when he is a baby people might call him [name_u]Georgie[/name_u] but not if you tell them you dislike it. When he’s older, I doubt it would be an issue! I also love [name_u]George[/name_u], it’s one of my current favorites!
[name_u]George[/name_u] is solid and cool -it has a versatile feel!

Honestly, while I personally adore the nn “Georgie”, but I would never assume to nickname a George unless he or his parent specifically told me he had one. I know someone with a little boy called George, and he is just George. It’s definitely short enough that the majority of people one feel the need to nickname it. I wouldn’t worry about it. 
I knew a woman who called her son [name_m]Geo[/name_m] for [name_u]George[/name_u] and I thought it was an awesome nickname

I like it! I work with a “Geo” that tablet for [name_u]George[/name_u]. He also is called just “G” a lot
I have a [name_u]George[/name_u] and I’m so in love with his name! He was not called [name_u]Georgie[/name_u] until I started calling him that at 2 years old (even tho I swore I wasn’t!) he was always just [name_u]George[/name_u]. so people will go with how you call him and will not automatically assume [name_u]Georgie[/name_u]. Other nicknames we have for him just at home are Georgino, George-Junello, JoJo
