What do you guys think of [name_m]Horatio[/name_m]? What kind of nicknames do you think sound natural with it? I think it’s a lovely name, but I don’t know how easy it will flow day to day! :rolleyes:
[name_u]Love[/name_u] the name [name_m]Horatio[/name_m]!!! It is classic and not over-used! I would not give it a NN. Why can’t people say just 3 syllables? The [name_m]Horatio[/name_m] character on TV show CSI:[name_f]Miami[/name_f] never had a NN.

I wanna like [name_m]Horatio[/name_m], but it’s the name of my cousin’s husky and so I see nothing but that. That said, I do not think it’s a dog name like, [name_u]Rex[/name_u], or something. I think if you love it, you should use it I’ve never heard a nn for it, and I don’t necessarily think that there is an intuitive nn… so I’m sort of in agreement with @madaris that it doesn’t need one! I honestly can’t think of one anyway, ahah.
[name_m]Horatio[/name_m] is very handsome. It reminds me of [name_m]Horatio[/name_m] [name_m]Caine[/name_m] from CSI: [name_f]Miami[/name_f], too pretty cool namesake! I don’t think it needs a nickname, either, but the most natural one I can think of would be [name_u]Ray[/name_u].

[name_m]Horatio[/name_m]'s one of my favourite names and has been for a long time. I think [name_m]Horatio[/name_m] would make such a handsome name for an adult, but is equally suited to a child. I’ve imagined a playful little boy with endless fun and energy, always looking for an adventure. I love that it’s different, unusual and memorable, but a name with history and charm. For me [name_m]Horatio[/name_m] is a name with pretty much nothing going against it, or at least nothing that bothers me haha. If I had to use a nn, my favourites are [name_u]Rory[/name_u] and [name_m]Hiro[/name_m].

I mean I guess it works if you’re a big [name_m]Shakespeare[/name_m] fan, but even then there’s way better Shakespearean names to choose from besides forgettable [name_m]Horatio[/name_m]. Sorry I’m just not seeing the appeal.

I like [name_m]Horatio[/name_m]. A couple of months ago, I read a nameberry suggestion of [name_m]Hoyt[/name_m] as a nickname for [name_m]Horatio[/name_m], and I found that intriguing.
