We have two boys, [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] and [name_u]August[/name_u], and my husband suggested [name_u]Jericho[/name_u] for a future boy name. I like it, but wonder what people would think first hearing it. I always think of a name like when he’s an old man or applying for a job. Is it too out there? Does it go with [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] and [name_u]August[/name_u]? Any middle name suggestions? Thanks!
[name_u]Jericho[/name_u] is definitely one of my guilty pleasure names because I have the same concerns as you. I love the names you’ve chosen for your other boys.
What about [name_u]Remington[/name_u]? Has that same feel a the other two and the adorable nickname [name_u]Remy[/name_u].
[name_u]Jericho[/name_u] is awesome! I used to live in [name_m]Oxford[/name_m] and it’s the name of a wealthy suburb there, so that’s my first association personally. It’s a great name though and I think it goes really well with your other boys. Its out there but not totally ridiculous [name_f]IMO[/name_f].
I don’t usually suggest it because it seems to be the default middle name for boys at the moment, but I love the alliteration of [name_u]Jericho[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u]. Simple and classic to balance out the quirkiness of [name_u]Jericho[/name_u].
Similarly:
[name_u]Jericho[/name_u] [name_m]Miles[/name_m]
[name_u]Jericho[/name_u] [name_u]Flynn[/name_u]
[name_u]Jericho[/name_u] [name_m]Henry[/name_m]
[name_u]Jericho[/name_u] [name_u]Jude[/name_u]
[name_u]Jericho[/name_u] [name_m]William[/name_m]
[name_u]Jericho[/name_u] [name_u]Reid[/name_u]
Great name!
I really, really like [name_u]Jericho[/name_u] - unusual, but friendly and approachable. As @katinka said, it also goes well with [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] and [name_u]August[/name_u].
I think it’s great! It’s a really interesting update on [name_m]Jeremy[/name_m]. It’s got a biblical pedigree and combines a lot of trends, like the -o ending.
Awesome name!
I’m warming up to [name_u]Jericho[/name_u], there’s something about it with your boys names that makes it feel more special and at the same time more usable; [name_u]Emerson[/name_u], [name_u]August[/name_u], and [name_u]Jericho[/name_u]
I really like [name_u]Jericho[/name_u]! My immediate association is the town in the Bible. I do not think it goes at all with [name_u]August[/name_u] or [name_u]Emerson[/name_u], though. Sorry.
I think [name_u]Jericho[/name_u] sounds really cool. It’s a bit different from [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] and [name_u]August[/name_u] but I still feel like it fits in with them somehow.
I like it! Sounds kind if biblical, but also sounds cool. [name_u]Love[/name_u] the -o ending
I love [name_u]Jericho[/name_u], and I think that, like [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] and [name_u]August[/name_u], it’s got a very fresh-but-grounded feel. Modern without being new, if that makes sense, which I think is what will allow it to grow up very nicely.
[name_m]Joshua[/name_m] fought the battle of [name_u]Jericho[/name_u], [name_u]Jericho[/name_u], [name_u]Jericho[/name_u]. Beyond that, I like the name
I love it, and it fits fine with the names of your other sons.
I guess I’m in the minority here. I personally do not see it as a name. I adore [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] and [name_u]August[/name_u]. [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] and [name_u]August[/name_u] have vintage charm, in my eyes, [name_u]Jericho[/name_u] stands oddly out compared to those two. I personally would want to go with another vintage name. This would be your child though, and we all have our own tastes, likes, and dislikes. That is what makes the world not boring.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] it , I can’t have it: too many jer names here - so you totally should use it
I like [name_u]Jericho[/name_u]. Sounds very bibilical, which is fine with me.
[name_u]Leslie[/name_u]
I love [name_u]Jericho[/name_u] but given that [name_m]Canaan[/name_m] is our no.1 for a boy, it may be a bit much for a possible no.2
