[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone!
I thought of [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] as a name today, and I really love it.
It’s pretty, elegant, feminine, literary, and has a lovely sound and look.
It bares similarity to my beloved [name_f]Jillian[/name_f], but I think feels even more feminine.
I also love the nod to [name_u]Julie[/name_u] [name_m]Andrews[/name_m], my favourite actress, and saintly links to the martyr St. [name_f]Julia[/name_f] of [name_f]Corsica[/name_f].
It seems to tick all my boxes.
I do have a question about shortening though. Would you shorten [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]? If so, what would you shorten to?
I love [name_u]Julie[/name_u] and [name_f]Jill[/name_f], but [name_u]Jules[/name_u] less so. None of the Julies/Julias I’ve met have had [name_u]Jules[/name_u], though.
I’d really appreciate it if you could tell me what you thought of [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], also vibes too preferably, as well as if you’d shorten it/what you’d shorten it to. Thank you!
Heya! I really like [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] but I’m not a fan of [name_u]Jules[/name_u] either - I mean, it’s OK in real life - it’s kinda fun- but it’s just such a different name to [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]. The prettiest part of the name is the ending! I would nn to [name_f]Etta[/name_f], or maybe [name_f]Lettie[/name_f], but overall avoid the shortening!
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f] is beautiful, strong, romantic, graceful and has this youthful summery vibe. Honestly I adore the summery imagery behind [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] I picture fields of gold, bright glorious sunshine, European architecture and beautiful castles along with ball gowns. I have [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] [name_u]Billie[/name_u] [name_f]Meadow[/name_f] on my list and would shortened [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] to [name_u]Jules[/name_u] but that’s because I love [name_u]Jules[/name_u] but I think [name_u]Julie[/name_u], [name_f]Jill[/name_f], [name_f]Lettie[/name_f] or even [name_u]Jet[/name_u] could work.
I adore [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] ! I love the idea of the nickname [name_f]Lettie[/name_f] , [name_f]Ettie[/name_f] or [name_f]Jill[/name_f] !
I think [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] oozes femininity and flair but also the ageless versatility. I can picture a [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] in all stages of life and it certainly checks all the boxes !
I prefer [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] as a spelling. I think [name_u]Juli[/name_u] // [name_u]Julie[/name_u] will be very intuitive nicknames that most people who are not interested in onomastics would give; however Ette // [name_f]Etta[/name_f] // [name_f]Etty[/name_f] // [name_f]Ettie[/name_f], Liett // Liette and [name_u]Jett[/name_u] // [name_f]Jette[/name_f] are very natural and might get used by friends, family too and it isn’t stretched at all.
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f] is the longest standing name on my girl’s list, I love it! [name_f]My[/name_f] go to nickname is [name_u]Jet[/name_u]. I have a hard time pining down a specific vibe description but the name makes me think of bright, clear, bold, warm tones like hot pink, ruby red, tangerine orange, sunshine yellow.
