I want to know what people think about the name [name_f]Kori[/name_f] for a girl?! I like unisex names and I love the first and middle name combination of [name_f]Kori[/name_f] [name_u]Taylor[/name_u]. I’m asking because I see that the popularity isn’t that high and I’ve gotten mixed reviews from friends. I don’t know if [name_f]Kori[/name_f] is too boyish or if it is a cool, unique name for a girl. Thanks!!
Funny, I was just telling my daughter that I liked the name [name_u]Cory[/name_u] for a boy or a girl. I hadn’t thought about your spelling but I really like it. I like [name_f]Kori[/name_f] [name_u]Taylor[/name_u] completely!
I prefer [name_u]Cory[/name_u], since I’m not usually a fan of alternative spellings. I think it’s even more adorable as a nickname for a longer name, like [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] or [name_f]Corinne[/name_f]. [name_u]Taylor[/name_u] is a solid middle name, and [name_f]Kori[/name_f] [name_u]Taylor[/name_u] flows well.
It feels a bit like a mom name to me although you could choose a longer name and just used [name_m]Kory[/name_m]/[name_u]Cory[/name_u] (I prefer the [name_u]Cory[/name_u] spelling) as a nick name. I agree with @dreamingoffireflies and like her suggestion of [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]. Maybe [name_f]Coral[/name_f] or [name_f]Coralie[/name_f].
[name_f]Kori[/name_f] is cute. I’ve always liked the [name_u]Corrie[/name_u] spelling best, especially as a nickname to [name_f]Cora[/name_f]/[name_f]Coraline[/name_f]/[name_f]Coralie[/name_f]/[name_f]Corinne[/name_f] (Though [name_f]Kori[/name_f]/[name_u]Cory[/name_u]/[name_u]Corrie[/name_u] can stand on its own).
Definitely prefer [name_f]Kori[/name_f] to [name_u]Cory[/name_u]. [name_f]Kori[/name_f] is cuter than I expected it to be.
[name_f]Kori[/name_f] is one of the only unisex names I like. It is both masculine for a boy and adorable for a baby girl. I love kori [name_u]Taylor[/name_u]!!!
I dislike [name_f]Kori[/name_f].
I think it is cute and works for a girl but I like the [name_u]Corrie[/name_u] spelling. Since you like unisex names, you could use it as a short form of K/[name_f]Cora[/name_f], K/[name_f]Coral[/name_f], K/[name_u]Corby[/name_u], K/[name_u]Corbin[/name_u], [name_m]Cortez[/name_m], [name_u]Cordelle[/name_u], K/[name_u]Corin[/name_u] or K/[name_u]Courtney[/name_u].
It’s a cute name.
I would never use it, but that doesn’t mean anything. It reminds me of an 80s name. When it was really hip to give girls a boy name or nickname. i.e. [name_u]Sam[/name_u] ([name_f]Samantha[/name_f]), [name_u]Alex[/name_u] ([name_f]Alexandra[/name_f]), [name_u]Dani[/name_u] ([name_f]Danielle[/name_f]),[name_f]Toni[/name_f] ([name_f]Antoinette[/name_f]), [name_u]Jamie[/name_u], [name_f]Ryann[/name_f] etc. I do think it sounds really cute. If you really love it and you think it fits your girl then I’d go with it.
It feels 80s/90s to me. I’m pretty sure I wrote story a story about sisters named [name_f]Kori[/name_f], [name_f]Tori[/name_f] and [name_f]Lori[/name_f] at some point when I was a kid. It’s a name you’d write in sparkly gel pen with a big heart over the “i.” Not my style now, but that doesn’t make it unusable. I guess I prefer the [name_u]Cory[/name_u] spelling for both girls and boys.
Awh, I like the way you spelled [name_f]Kori[/name_f]! I always thought to spell it Koree, for a girl. But I like yours too. And it goes really cutely with [name_u]Taylor[/name_u].
I have a cousin in her mid-twenties named [name_f]Kori[/name_f]. So I’m biased (though I have plenty of family members’ names I dislike), but I really like [name_f]Kori[/name_f]! Simple and spunky.
It’s fine to name your daughter that. She may turn out to be girl who loves that sort of newer sounding, gender neutral name.
Me, as a lover of old-fashioned names, if I were named that I would be miserable and change my name.
Could you possibly give a longer name with [name_f]Kori[/name_f] as the nickname you call her? That would give her options - I’m all for names with many nn options.
Korianna could be an option for a longer name, actually.
I’m not usually a fan of gender-neutral or just plain boy names being used on girls, but I think [name_f]Kori[/name_f] is cute. It has a feminine sound to me, like [name_f]Karly[/name_f].
It would be really cute as a nn, as well =]
Well, now I have to list some possible [name_f]Kori[/name_f] nick naming options =} (don’t judge my made up names. This is my opportunity to give in to my love for the letter K lol)
[name_f]Koralie[/name_f]/Koralei ([name_f]KoraLee[/name_f]/KoraLay or Lie)
Koralina/Koraline (KoraLEEna/KoralEYEn)
Koralissa/Koraliese (KoraLISSa/KoraLEEse)
Korianna
Korinna (just [name_f]Karina[/name_f], but weird, haha)
[name_f]Korissa[/name_f] (usually I do [name_f]Karissa[/name_f], but you know)
[name_f]Kourtnie[/name_f]/[name_f]Kourtnee[/name_f] (ik the second one could be nn Koree though)
You could even stick one of these names in the middle and pick another first so she doesn’t have one of these funkily spelled names in front lol
Like [name_f]Brielle[/name_f] Korianna for example. I like all these weird names, but I’m weird =]
[name_f]EDIT[/name_f]: Totally forgot you wanted [name_f]Kori[/name_f] [name_u]Taylor[/name_u]. I still like that, though I’m not the biggest [name_u]Taylor[/name_u] fan. Well, I’m not sure why I made this list, then. I just got too excited I think =P
