I heard this name today and can’t stop thinking about it! I think [name_f]Leni[/name_f] has such a cool girl vibe, but still sounds so friendly and happy. I would pronounce it the same as [name_u]Lenny[/name_u]. Is that how you would pronounce it? Does it feel too trendy or is that just my American lens thinking that? I’m thinking it may go on our shortlist, but not sure! We also love [name_u]Romy[/name_u], [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f], [name_u]Blair[/name_u], and [name_f]Violet[/name_f]. Excited to hear what you think!
It’s lovely! I pronounce it like [name_u]Lenny[/name_u] but it’s super cute!!
I think it’s very on-trend and I also would say it like [name_u]Lenny[/name_u]. Lenae would be the spelling I would pick if I were trying to get Le-neigh.
I also think it is an extraordinary fit with your list!
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you think it would age well or would always feel dated to the early 2020’s (like how [name_u]Aiden[/name_u] feels very mid 2010’s)?
And thank you! We have a [name_u]Miles[/name_u] already and I think [name_f]Leni[/name_f] sounds super sweet with it!
[name_f]Leni[/name_f] is lovely - warm, stylish, sparky, and cool in vibe
I don’t think it’s popular enough to feel dated to any time period yet. It is super “on trend” tho.
I second this thought @bemiranda
i adore it !! i think it’s so sweet, bubbly and sunny i’d pronounce it like lenny as well. it doesn’t strike me as super trendy! it’s obviously not an old-fashioned or vintage name, but it just feels sweet and familiar, not overly modern or likely to be outdated in 10 years
I would pronounce it “Lainey” unless told otherwise. I do think it’s trendy here in the States. Not a bad name, though, and has history as a variant of [name_f]Helena[/name_f].
I love [name_u]Blair[/name_u], [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f], & [name_f]Violet[/name_f] from your list.
I think it’s super cute! I pronounce it like ‘Lenny’, and i think it’ll probably stick to me now too
I personally don’t really like it. It looks incomplete and nicknamey and I think it would often get mispronounced. Is it pronounced “L-ee-ny” or “Leh-nny”?. I definitely prefer the “Leeny” pronunciation over the old man name one.
