[name_f]Liliosa[/name_f] is lovely. Sounds very ethnic to me (not that I think it’s a bad thing, but I personally I wouldn’t use it because I’m not Spanish). [name_f]Lily[/name_f] is a lovely nickname.
Makes me think of butterflies ([name_f]Liliosa[/name_f] - mariposa).
Nameberry says it’s a spanish lily flower, but I’ve actually found little that supports this. I do know that it is not the word for “lily” in spanish, though I don’t have a lot of familiarity with flowers within spanish culture. It’s legitimate ties seem to be in the christian martyr story of [name_m]Aurelius[/name_m] and [name_f]Natalia[/name_f] and the name of a 9th century Spanish saint. Which does give it more spanish background and use!
All that said, it reminds me of the name [name_f]Paloma[/name_f], which has seemed to cross over culturally to my surprise even though it is an actual spanish word.

I do think it’s a lovely name though and while [name_f]Lily[/name_f] is a great nickname I wonder if it’d be too easy for a person to go pretty much exclusively by [name_f]Lily[/name_f] if they had this name.

It does remind me of mariposa but I prefer [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] to [name_f]Liliosa[/name_f]. In general, I’m not a fan of -osa names.

I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Liliosa[/name_f]. It’s one of my favorites, but anyone I ask about the name, they do bring up what Casilda said about Leviosa. It doesn’t bother me about this particular name, and hopefully it doesn’t bother you. It’s a very beautiful name.
