also how do you pronounce this name?
I think it’s pretty, but it always gets shortened to [name_f]Maddie[/name_f] which is super popular, however this doesn’t bother me.
I pronounce it Mad-ih-lynn
Mad-uh-line is how I would pronounce it! Looove it. [name_m]Don[/name_m]’t like [name_f]Maddie[/name_f] so much; prefer [name_f]Della[/name_f] as a nn
Mad-eh-line. I really love [name_f]Madeline[/name_f]! It’s so, so sweet. I’m not a fan of nn [name_f]Maddie[/name_f] though, it’s a bit too overused for me, so I prefer [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] as a middle!
I think it’s sweet, especially because of the books I do find it a little dated and overused, though.
Madeline: mad-uh-line
[name_f]Madeleine[/name_f]: mad-uh-len
[name_f]Madelyn[/name_f]: mad-uh-lyn
i pronounce this spelling Mad-eh-lyn. I love the nn [name_u]Dell[/name_u] or [name_f]Della[/name_f]. I slightly prefer the [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] spelling pronounced Mad-uh-len.
I love this name though and it’s a great alternative to the ever popular [name_u]Madison[/name_u]
Mad-uh-lin
It’s elegant and sweet
I pronounce it mad-uh-lynn. I’ve never heard anyone say it mad-uh-line in real life and it’s also my sister’s middle name, pronounced -lynn. I much prefer it pronounced -line though because I think it sounds more distinct!
I think it’s a cute name! I would pronounce it -line.
I prefer the mad-uh-line pronounciation to the mad-a-lynn pronounciation so I always read it as mad-uh-line
I love the name. I think it can be pronounced mad-ah-lin or mad-ah-line. Both are great, but I love the lynn pronunciation more.
I think it’s delightful! I know it’s usually pronounced mad-uh-linn, but I absolutely adore it pronounced mad-uh-lyne!
I pronounce it Mad-uh-line. I would use [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f] if you want the other pronunciation in the US. I prefer [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] though.
I think [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] is quite pretty. [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f] feels more tomboy-ish to me, but [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] feels pretty. Which I like, btw!
Also, I pronounce [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] “mad-uh-line” and [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f] “mad-uh-lin”.
„mad-eh-lin“
Its really sweet and i love [name_f]Maddie[/name_f] as a nn.
I love Mad ih [name_u]Lynn[/name_u] pronunciation. I know someone who pronounces it Mad ih [name_f]Line[/name_f] so I use both but prefer [name_u]Lynn[/name_u]
Madda-line as in [name_u]Caro[/name_u]-line
which I consider different than
Ma-duh-lyn as in [name_f]Cara[/name_f]-lyn
Most likely will become [name_f]Maddie[/name_f]. Could also use [name_f]Addie[/name_f], [name_u]Adel[/name_u], or an offshoot [name_u]Mel[/name_u] or [name_f]Ellie[/name_f].
Mad-uh-line
Mad-el-eye-n
I love this name because of the classic [name_u]French[/name_u] children’s books.
Mad-a-LINE. Like in the movie about the little schoolgirl in [name_f]France[/name_f].
To me, [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f] is Mad-a-lynn and [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] is Mad-a-len.
