I’m somewhat impartial to [name]Mitch[/name]. I’ve never known a [name]Mitch[/name]. The only thing that I will mention is that at least where I spent my childhood (in the US midwest) there was/is a popular rhyming/singing name game in which [name]Mitch[/name] was always a giggle producing star. For example, “[name]Cindy[/name] cindy bo bindy, banana fanna fo findy, me my mo mindy, [name]CINDY[/name]!”. Then the next person would come up with another name. Eventually some jokester would sing “[name]Mitch[/name] mitch bo b*itch, banana fanna fo fitch, me my mo mitch, [name]MITCH[/name]”. And then giggling would ensure. Juvenial? Yes. But that is kids for ya. No clue if that game is still circulating playgrounds, but I thought I’d just throw that out there.
Would it be short for [name]Mitchell[/name]? [name]Just[/name] curious. I think it’s handsome. I picture an athletic, all-American kinda guy. Slightly dated but not terribly so.
Best wishes!

I think [name]Mitchell[/name] with the casual/sometime nickname of [name]Mitch[/name] is great. Very nice, not common at all.
But [name]Mitch[/name], just [name]Mitch[/name]…I have to say its not that attractive. Not to mention, sometimes it can remind of b****(replace the m in [name]Mitch[/name] with a b). which I know the an earlier poster mentioned. Not a good association.
I love [name]Mitchell[/name], am not so keen on [name]Mitch[/name]. But then, I don’t really do nicknames. I think a good given name is more important in the long run. People do spend the major portion of their lives as adults. You need a name that will wear well if your child becomes a professional or, heaven forbid, a politician. (I think one [name]Mitch[/name] is more than enough!) [name]Mitch[/name] alone makes me think of “itch”.
