Thoughts on Monnox?

[name_m]Man[/name_m] nix reminds me of manic.

Wow I feel sorry for your students. Getting laughed at by a teacher. Real mature.

I’m sorry, but it sounds like an STD or an antibiotic.

I too would recommend using an established name. What about [name_m]Maxim[/name_m]? What is it about the name you suggested that you like? That could help us make more suggestions.

[name_m]Maxim[/name_m] reminds me of the men’s magazine. We like [name_m]Maddox[/name_m] and were watching Varsity Blues one night and heard the nickname Mox. Put the two together and got Monnox.

Mox was a nickname for Moxon, the character’s last name. The character was [name_m]Jonathan[/name_m] Moxon.

Mox could also be a nickname for [name_m]Maddox[/name_m]–all the letters are there.

I’m really sorry but Monnox sounds horrible to me. Sounds like a disease or a chemical. I’m sorry!

I’d much prefer [name_m]Maddox[/name_m], [name_m]Maxen[/name_m], [name_m]Macsen[/name_m], [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m], [name_m]Maximo[/name_m], [name_m]Maximus[/name_m], [name_m]Maxton[/name_m], [name_m]Knox[/name_m], [name_m]Lennox[/name_m] etc

Haha, clearly, you didn’t read my post correctly, and you misinterpreted. I said I would have to hold back laughter if I saw Monnox on an attendance sheet. I would never outright laugh at them, but I’ve yet to meet a child who does have a name that sounds like a disease.

Perhaps, if you dislike the fact that the majority dislikes Mannox, you should stop retaliating and close the thread? Why did you even ask in the first place if you don’t like hearing what others think?
