[name_u]Madison[/name_u]
[name_f]Melanie[/name_f]
[name_f]Sienna[/name_f]
[name_f]Trinity[/name_f]

I would like to get your thoughts on them. Which ones do you like, which ones don’t you, do you have any opinions on these names, which is your favourite one of these. Tell me everything you want to about these names.

My favorites from your list are [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f], [name_f]Antonia[/name_f], [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], and [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f]. They are beautiful! My least favorite are [name_u]Alexis[/name_u], [name_f]Alicia[/name_f], [name_f]Destiny[/name_f], and [name_f]Trinity[/name_f]. I don’t think you could go wrong with any of them though!

[name_f]Madeleine[/name_f]-8/10- love it, but it’s variations are all very popular
[name_f]Antonia[/name_f]-8/10- lovely, old-world vibe.
[name_f]Emily[/name_f]-7/10- a classic, and I really like the sound
[name_u]Alexis[/name_u]-5/10- strikes me “dated-trendy”
[name_f]Alicia[/name_f]-5/10-^^
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f]-7/10- pretty, dislike the strong MEAL sound though
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]-7/10- another classic, I’ve never been partial to it
[name_f]Chloe[/name_f]-8/10- sweet, pretty, lovely meaning, very popular
[name_u]Courtney[/name_u]-4/10- dated & masculine
[name_f]Destiny[/name_f]-5/10
[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f]-9/10- I love [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f]!
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]-5/10
[name_f]Everleigh[/name_f]-1/10- [name_u]Everly[/name_u] is probably my least favorite name, it comes across as very cheesy to me, and the [name_f]Everleigh[/name_f] spelling makes it worse. It gets 1 pt from me for not being particularly overtly offensive (like [name_u]Satchel[/name_u], for example)
[name_f]Grace[/name_f]-4/10- [name_f]Grace[/name_f] feels overused to me
[name_u]Haley[/name_u]-5/10- pretty (I prefer [name_f]Hailey[/name_f]) but I know many, many [name_u]Haley[/name_u]'s
[name_f]Heather[/name_f]-3/10
[name_u]Kelsey[/name_u]-5/10
[name_f]Lucie[/name_f]-7/10, I personally prefer [name_f]Lucia[/name_f]
[name_u]Madison[/name_u]-5/10- trendy and dated. I know many, many Maddies. [name_u]Madison[/name_u]/[name_f]Madelyn[/name_f] feel a bit trashy. I would go with [name_f]Madeline[/name_f]/[name_f]Madeleine[/name_f].
[name_f]Melanie[/name_f]-4/10-not my style but ok
[name_f]Sienna[/name_f]-7/10-very pretty
[name_f]Trinity[/name_f]-4/10

[name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] - I’ve just never really seen the appeal of this name, sorry. I also don’t like the nickname [name_f]Maddie[/name_f]/y.
[name_f]Antonia[/name_f] - It’s ok, I’m not keen but I’ve only ever known one and she was horrid.
[name_f]Emily[/name_f] - [name_f]Lovely[/name_f], but very common.
[name_u]Alexis[/name_u] - I find this name to be very ‘blah’ I don’t think it’s particularly pretty or edgy or interesting etc.
[name_f]Alicia[/name_f] - [name_m]Ah[/name_m]-liss-ee-ah or A-lee-sha (I’ve never worked out why that can be a way of saying [name_f]Alicia[/name_f]). I like [name_m]Ah[/name_m]-liss-ee-ah.
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] - nice, but common. I prefer [name_f]Amelie[/name_f]
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] - I cannot describe to you how boring I find this name.
[name_f]Chloe[/name_f] - It’s ok, for some reason it always makes me think of a girl who is quite stuck up or spoilt though.
[name_u]Courtney[/name_u] - It’s ok, I don’t love it.
[name_f]Destiny[/name_f] - [name_m]Just[/name_m] feels tacky to me, sorry.
[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] - I really don’t know what the buzz is about this name. Sorry.
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] - I only like it as [name_f]Eve[/name_f]-lyn not Ev-eh-lyn, but it’s ok.
[name_f]Everleigh[/name_f] - I vastly prefer the spelling [name_u]Everly[/name_u], but if you’re going to change the spelling, this one is the best alternative. Nice name.
[name_f]Grace[/name_f] - Sweet as a first name, I don’t adore it but it’s nice.
[name_u]Haley[/name_u] - I prefer the spelling [name_f]Hailey[/name_f], but it’s a decent name regardless
[name_f]Heather[/name_f] - Nice
[name_u]Kelsey[/name_u] - I have a real soft spot for [name_u]Kelsey[/name_u], which is out of character for my general naming style. I love it.
[name_f]Lucie[/name_f] - [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is great. I don’t like it with the ‘ie’ ending.
[name_u]Madison[/name_u] - See [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f].
[name_f]Melanie[/name_f] - Sweet, a think a tad dated but I would love to see it on a baby!
[name_f]Sienna[/name_f] - Nice
[name_f]Trinity[/name_f] - Eh.

Favourite Names: [name_f]Melanie[/name_f], [name_f]Sienna[/name_f], [name_u]Kelsey[/name_u], [name_f]Emily[/name_f], [name_u]Everly[/name_u] (in no particular order). [name_f]Lucie[/name_f] spelled as [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] would make this list.
Least Favourite Names: [name_u]Alexis[/name_u], [name_f]Trinity[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Destiny[/name_f], [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] (in no particular order).

[name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] - I love this name, and this is my favorite spelling variation of it as well. 8/10
[name_f]Antonia[/name_f] - Not my favorite name. 5/10
[name_f]Emily[/name_f] - It has a pretty sound but has become one of the most popular girl names and therefore isn’t as special to me anymore. 6/10
[name_u]Alexis[/name_u] - Same as [name_f]Antonia[/name_f], not my favorite. I think I’d prefer [name_f]Alexa[/name_f]. 5/10
[name_f]Alicia[/name_f] - I think it looks gorgeous but sounds a little dated. Maybe a 6/10?
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] - [name_u]Love[/name_u] this name and the historical context of [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Earhart[/name_f]. 8/10
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] - Pretty name but doesn’t stand out to me much. 7/10
[name_f]Chloe[/name_f] - One of my favorite names; it’s sleek and feminine at the same time. 9/10
[name_u]Courtney[/name_u] - Reminds me of a babysitter during the early 2000s. 3/10
[name_f]Destiny[/name_f] - Not a huge fan of virtue names. 2/10
[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] - I think I’d just prefer [name_f]Emma[/name_f] as there could be pronunciation issues whether or not the ending is pronounced -LEEN or -[name_f]LINE[/name_f]. 5/10
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] - Cute name but I like [name_f]Eva[/name_f] or [name_f]Eve[/name_f] better. 6/10
[name_f]Everleigh[/name_f] - I generally dislike using the -[name_u]LEIGH[/name_u] ending when using a -[name_m]LY[/name_m] or -LEY would be perfectly fine. [name_u]Everly[/name_u] itself is an alright name but I dislike [name_f]Everleigh[/name_f]. 2/10
[name_f]Grace[/name_f] - Simple and beautiful, [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is a name you can’t go wrong with. 8/10
[name_u]Haley[/name_u] - [name_u]Haley[/name_u] is cute for younger girls and teenagers, but I can’t see a woman past 30 with the name [name_u]Haley[/name_u]. 5/10
[name_f]Heather[/name_f] - Same feeling as [name_u]Courtney[/name_u], not to mention that the spelling is a little too close-looking to heathen. 3/10
[name_u]Kelsey[/name_u] - Same feeling as [name_u]Kelsey[/name_u], but worse. 3/10
[name_f]Lucie[/name_f] - I prefer [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]. 4/10
[name_u]Madison[/name_u] - I like [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] better, but [name_u]Madison[/name_u] is a nice name too. 7/10
[name_f]Melanie[/name_f] - Always makes me think of melon-y. 5/10
[name_f]Sienna[/name_f] - I love [name_f]Sienna[/name_f]! I always go back and forth between the spelling [name_f]Siena[/name_f] or [name_f]Sienna[/name_f]. 8/10
[name_f]Trinity[/name_f] - Again, not a fan of virtue names. [name_f]Trinity[/name_f] sounds to heavy on the T sounds and reminds me of clashing cymbals (no idea why). 2/10

my favorites:

[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f]

[name_f]Everleigh[/name_f]
[name_f]Chloe[/name_f]
[name_u]Courtney[/name_u]
[name_f]Destiny[/name_f]
[name_u]Alexis[/name_u]
[name_f]Alicia[/name_f]

Most of the names in the “least favorite” category read as very dated to me.

[name_f]Antonia[/name_f] is the standout name on you list! It’s a rare, half-forgotten classic in the English-speaking speaking world, with lots of nicknames and namesakes. To me, that’s a dynamite set of attributes for a name

The other names on your list are well-known and popular choices from over the last few decades, so there’s nothing wrong with them at all. Millennial classics, maybe?

[name_f]Heather[/name_f] and [name_f]Melanie[/name_f] had their heydays long enough ago that they might be unexpected (in a good way) on a young child. [name_f]Heather[/name_f] especially would be rare-but-known, and lovely, for a child born now.

[name_f]Lucie[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f], [name_f]Destiny[/name_f], [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] and [name_f]Heather[/name_f] are my favourites from your list.

I like:
[name_f]Madeleine[/name_f]
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Chloe[/name_f]
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] (though I prefer the spelling [name_f]Evelin[/name_f])
[name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_u]Haley[/name_u]
[name_f]Heather[/name_f]
[name_u]Kelsey[/name_u]
[name_u]Madison[/name_u]
[name_f]Melanie[/name_f]
[name_f]Sienna[/name_f]
[name_f]Trinity[/name_f]

[name_f]Madeleine[/name_f]: I prefer the spelling [name_f]Madeline[/name_f], but both are wonderful. I love that there are so many nicknames that could potentially come from it (I’m thinking [name_f]Maddy[/name_f], [name_f]Lena[/name_f]/[name_f]Lina[/name_f], [name_f]Delia[/name_f], [name_u]Del[/name_u], etc.)

[name_f]Antonia[/name_f]: This one feels a bit too masculine and rusty to me; the ‘a’ at the end feels kind of added.

[name_f]Emily[/name_f]: A nice name, but far too common for my taste. I prefer longer versions of the name, especially for boys (like [name_m]Emmanuel[/name_m], [name_m]Emmerich[/name_m]).

[name_u]Alexis[/name_u]: For me, this one is associated with mean girls, so I’d never use it, but it has nicknames of both [name_f]Ally[/name_f] and [name_u]Lexi[/name_u].

[name_f]Alicia[/name_f]: I don’t like this one very much. It reminds me of onions for some reason, and I don’t like the ‘ia’.

[name_f]Amelia[/name_f]: Ooh, this one is nice. So many nicknames ([name_f]Amy[/name_f], [name_u]Mel[/name_u], [name_f]Lia[/name_f]), and a soft but grounded, fresh but vintage sound.

[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]: This one is nice, though perhaps a bit common. I love it as a way to get to [name_u]Charlie[/name_u], which I adore as a girls’ nickname but would never use by itself.

[name_f]Chloe[/name_f]: I like this one a lot. It reminds me of butterflies. However, I hate [name_f]Khloe[/name_f]. It feels weird and made-up.

[name_u]Courtney[/name_u]: Like [name_u]Alexis[/name_u], this one rings mean girl to me.

[name_f]Destiny[/name_f]: It has a nice sound, but I worry that the kid couldn’t find a nice nickname if they wanted it. Maybe it would be best off as a middle name, or with a very normal middle name.

[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f]: I like this better than [name_f]Emily[/name_f], and it’s a lovely way to get to [name_f]Emma[/name_f] or [name_f]Em[/name_f], though it is becoming increasingly common.

[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]: I don’t like this one very much, mainly because of the “ev” or “eev” sound, which I’ve noticed I don’t like in girls names. [name_f]Evie[/name_f] is kind of cute though.

[name_f]Everleigh[/name_f]: I love this one! It feels kind of mysterious and story-like to me, but not made-up.

[name_f]Grace[/name_f]: I find this one to be too much of a middle name name, and I tend to prefer longer names with nicknames like this, though I’m not sure there is one for [name_f]Grace[/name_f]. Is Graceline a name?

[name_u]Haley[/name_u]: I prefer [name_f]Hailey[/name_f]; this one feels like it’s missing something to me.

[name_f]Heather[/name_f]: I love the breezy sound of heather, as well as the flower.

[name_u]Kelsey[/name_u]: No.

[name_f]Lucie[/name_f]: I would prefer to have a longer name with this nickname, as it may be hard to wear this name as an adult. Also, I like “[name_f]Lucy[/name_f]” better.

[name_u]Madison[/name_u]: It’s okay, I suppose.

[name_f]Melanie[/name_f]: [name_u]Love[/name_u] it!

[name_f]Sienna[/name_f]: I’ve known a dog named [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] for many years, so this one doesn’t really work for me…

[name_f]Trinity[/name_f]: This one feels distastefully religious.

My favorites are:

[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] ~ Some mentioned this was getting popular, I wouldn’t call #809 on the SSA baby name list popular.
[name_f]Antonia[/name_f]
[name_f]Madeleine[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucie[/name_f] (prefer [name_f]Lucy[/name_f])

[name_f]IMO[/name_f]…

I absolutely [name_u]LOVE[/name_u]: [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f], [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Emmaline[/name_f], [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] and [name_f]Grace[/name_f].
Others that slightly appeal to me are: [name_f]Chloe[/name_f], [name_u]Haley[/name_u] and [name_f]Melanie[/name_f].

I tend to love more classic, traditional or vintage names. I have a very limited range of trendy names that appeal to me.

Favorites:
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]
[name_f]Antonia[/name_f]

[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]

Least Favorites:

[name_f]Everleigh[/name_f]
[name_f]Melanie[/name_f]
[name_f]Destiny[/name_f]
[name_f]Lucie[/name_f]
[name_u]Haley[/name_u]

Most of these names seem fine to me, some of them just a bit dated. There are a few classical gems in there - [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f], and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] - that you can’t go wrong with. [name_f]Lucie[/name_f] would have ranked higher had it been spelled [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]; as is with [name_f]Everleigh[/name_f], although I’m not a fan of it’s less creative spelling either. A good portion of them though, such as [name_u]Alexis[/name_u] and [name_u]Kelsey[/name_u], are alright, just popular. I can’t even count how many Madisons “Madi/[name_f]Maddy[/name_f]/[name_f]Maddie[/name_f]” I went to school with. Other than that, I’d say its a pretty decent list.

[name_u]LOVE[/name_u]:

[name_f]Antonia[/name_f]
[name_f]Trinity[/name_f]

I have a very different naming style to you, it seems. The only one of these names that I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] is [name_f]Antonia[/name_f]. My next picks would be [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u], [name_f]Grace[/name_f], [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], and [name_u]Alexis[/name_u]. The rest seem too 80’s, 90’s, or otherwise trendy. Then again, my “old lady name” preference is one of the major trends of the day, so I shouldn’t throw stones!

[name_u]Love[/name_u] your style!

[name_f]Madeleine[/name_f]: This is my favorite spelling of the name…but w/so many other spellings I think a [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] might always be spelling her name over & over again (at least that was the experience of the [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] that I knew).
[name_f]Antonia[/name_f]: I really like this name…classic & feminine. The only downside [name_f]IMO[/name_f] is the Ant- at the beginning. I don’t know if that’s the sort of things that kids would tease about…?
[name_f]Emily[/name_f]: Another classic & feminine name. It’s been super-popular for the last 20 years, so there are lots & lots & lots of Emilys around (including my oldest niece), but as it’s been going down the popularity charts now there will be fewer of them in subsequent age groups. I do like [name_f]Emiliana[/name_f] more than [name_f]Emily[/name_f], if you’re looking for something a little different.
[name_u]Alexis[/name_u]: While I like just about all forms of the name [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f], this is the one that I don’t…I’m old enough that it reminds me of the [name_u]Joan[/name_u] [name_u]Collins[/name_u] character in the '80s nighttime soap opera Dynasty.
[name_f]Alicia[/name_f]: [name_f]Alicia[/name_f] is very pretty, although I prefer the variants [name_f]Alyssa[/name_f]/[name_f]Alyssia[/name_f].
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f]: This one’s just not my style, but certainly very classic.
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]: Same as above.
[name_f]Chloe[/name_f]: NMS.
[name_u]Courtney[/name_u]: NMS & too '90s for me.
[name_f]Destiny[/name_f]: NMS.
[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f]: I like a number of [name_f]Em[/name_f]- names & [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] is quite pretty. [name_f]Emiliana[/name_f] is my favorite though.
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]: NMS, but certainly very popular now.
[name_f]Everleigh[/name_f]: NMS.
[name_f]Grace[/name_f]: NMS, but certainly very classic.
[name_u]Haley[/name_u]: NMS.
[name_f]Heather[/name_f]: NMS & too '80s/'90s for me.
[name_u]Kelsey[/name_u]: See above.
[name_f]Lucie[/name_f]: Cute & sweet name…although my stepdaughter [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] grumbles that she meets more dogs w/this name than people.
[name_u]Madison[/name_u]: NMS & overused [name_f]IMO[/name_f].
[name_f]Melanie[/name_f]: Pretty w/a cute nn of [name_u]Lanie[/name_u]/[name_u]Laney[/name_u].
[name_f]Sienna[/name_f]: I do like this one, although I like the one-n version more because it makes the tie w/the Italian city more clear.
[name_f]Trinity[/name_f]: I actually really like this one, although it normally wouldn’t be my style. [name_f]Trini[/name_f] is a cute nn.
