Thoughts on my long list

Any advice/comments…? This list is such a mish mash, any help or suggestions would be appreciated!

UPDATED LIST:

Beau
Edward
Elliot
Flynn
Frederick
Louis
Sebastian

Previous long list:

[name_m]Arthur[/name_m]
[name_m]Benjamin[/name_m]
[name_f]Briar[/name_f]
[name_m]Connor[/name_m]
[name_u]Darcy[/name_u]
[name_m]Edward[/name_m]
[name_u]Elliot[/name_u]
[name_u]Flynn[/name_u]
[name_m]Frederick[/name_m]
[name_m]George[/name_m]
[name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_m]Jasper[/name_m]
[name_m]Louis[/name_m]
[name_m]Monty[/name_m]
[name_m]Oscar[/name_m]
[name_m]Otis[/name_m]
[name_m]Rafferty[/name_m]
[name_m]Ruaridh[/name_m]
[name_m]Rupert[/name_m]
[name_m]Samuel[/name_m]
[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m]
[name_m]Thomas[/name_m]

I’m guessing you mean for your third baby?

[name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] are both classics, though [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] is a bit more on the unique side. With their names, I love [name_m]Rupert[/name_m], [name_m]Otis[/name_m], [name_m]Oscar[/name_m], [name_m]Frederick[/name_m], [name_m]Edward[/name_m], [name_m]George[/name_m] and [name_m]Thomas[/name_m]. If I had to pick just three I’d go fo [name_m]Edward[/name_m], [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] and [name_m]Oscar[/name_m].

I’d remove [name_m]Connor[/name_m], [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] and [name_f]Briar[/name_f].
[name_u]Darcy[/name_u] and [name_f]Briar[/name_f] feel a bit more modern and feminine. [name_m]Connor[/name_m] and [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] are more familiar than classic, and though they work I think they don’t match [name_m]Hugo[/name_m]'s vibe as well as the others.

Overall, I definitely wouldn’t describe your list as a “mish mash”! I could imagine them all as siblings. Most are traditional and well-established names, with the exception of [name_u]Flynn[/name_u], [name_m]Rafferty[/name_m] and [name_m]Ruaridh[/name_m], who still fit in well!

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.

Here are my thoughts:

[name_m]Arthur[/name_m]-This is dashing. It’s strong & old fashioned, with just the right amount of quirkiness. Perfect with your current kids’ names.

[name_m]Benjamin[/name_m]-A beautiful classic with sweet nns. Very over done though.

[name_f]Briar[/name_f]-This one is too girly for me.

[name_m]Connor[/name_m]-I’m super picky about this one. [name_m]Conor[/name_m] looks so much nicer. It’s a good name, but doesn’t sparkle.

[name_u]Darcy[/name_u]-Meh, I’m not a fan of this one. Kind of feminine, but I picture it out a cheerleader for some reason.

[name_m]Edward[/name_m]-Great handsome classic. I love the nns [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] & [name_m]Ned[/name_m]. Very cute w/your sib set.

[name_u]Elliot[/name_u]-I love this name. It’s so charming & is fun to say. It goes well w/[name_f]Violet[/name_f] & [name_m]Hugo[/name_m]. I really prefer [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] or [name_u]Eliot[/name_u] though.

[name_u]Flynn[/name_u]-This is pretty good. I prefer [name_u]Finn[/name_u], but [name_u]Flynn[/name_u] is nice too.

[name_m]Frederick[/name_m]-I like it. It’s slightly different & works w/your crew. The nn [name_u]Freddie[/name_u] is sweet.

[name_m]George[/name_m]-This is nice. Old fashioned. & friendly.

[name_u]James[/name_u]-A nice handsome classic. Fairly over done though. I love the nn [name_u]Jem[/name_u].

[name_m]Jasper[/name_m]-I like this w/your kids’ names, but it’s not my favorite. Not sure why I can’t get into this name.

[name_m]Louis[/name_m]-Really sweet, but maybe too rhyme-y w/[name_m]Hugo[/name_m].

[name_m]Monty[/name_m]-This isn’t bad. It’s different. Seems nick-namey.

[name_m]Oscar[/name_m]-I love this. It’s vintage yet quirky like [name_m]Hugo[/name_m]. Perfect!

[name_m]Otis[/name_m]-Also very nice. I can picture it on a woodsman with a gentle soul.

[name_m]Rafferty[/name_m]-I kind of like this. It’s unique & the nn [name_u]Rafe[/name_u] is really cool.

[name_m]Ruaridh[/name_m]-Yay, I like this spelling! [name_m]Will[/name_m] get really annoying to correct people, but so much nicer than [name_u]Rory[/name_u] for some reason.

[name_m]Rupert[/name_m]-Kind of fun, but my not personal favorite.

[name_m]Samuel[/name_m]-I love this. Such a sweet gentle yet handsome classic. And [name_u]Sam[/name_u] is very lovable.

[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]-This is good. A bit stuffy, but a neat name. I like the nn options of [name_m]Seb[/name_m], Sebby, Bash or [name_m]Satch[/name_m].

[name_m]Theodore[/name_m]-This seems really nice for you, but it is getting popular.

[name_m]Thomas[/name_m]-I like [name_m]Thomas[/name_m]. It’s solid & strong. [name_m]Tom[/name_m] & [name_m]Tommy[/name_m] are just meh though in my opinion.

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.

  • [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] – a strong classic and one I really like
  • [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] – also classic, but feels far more common (at least in the US)
  • [name_f]Briar[/name_f] – doesn’t really fit in with the rest of your list, imo (+ I prefer it for a girl myself.)
  • [name_m]Connor[/name_m] – nice, but feels a little more trendy that the rest of your list
  • [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] – okay
  • [name_m]Edward[/name_m] – classic
  • [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] – personally not a huge fan
  • [name_u]Flynn[/name_u] – adorable
  • [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] – strong and handsome (love “[name_u]Freddy[/name_u]” and “[name_m]Fritz[/name_m]” as potential nicknames)
  • [name_m]George[/name_m] – very regal and would be so sweet on a little boy today
  • [name_u]James[/name_u] – same as [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m]
  • [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] – [name_u]LOVE[/name_u]
  • [name_m]Louis[/name_m] – okay, but not my personal favorite
  • [name_m]Monty[/name_m] – feels a little nickname-y compared to the rest of the list, but cute
  • [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] – same as [name_m]Louis[/name_m]
  • [name_m]Otis[/name_m] – does not sound appealing to me at all, sorry
  • [name_m]Rafferty[/name_m] – nms, but a fun choice
  • [name_m]Ruaridh[/name_m] – may be a pronunciation hassle outside of [name_f]Ireland[/name_f]
  • [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] – a little pretentious, perhaps?
  • [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] – same as [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] and [name_u]James[/name_u] (but, again, in the US, not sure about Australia)
  • [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] – [name_u]LOVE[/name_u]
  • [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] – [name_f]ADORE[/name_f]
  • [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] – handsome and classic, definitely a great choice

This wasn’t part of your question, but I’m just going to say that, of this list, I really love [name_m]Arthur[/name_m], [name_m]Edward[/name_m], [name_m]Frederick[/name_m], [name_m]George[/name_m], and [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] with [name_f]Violet[/name_f] & [name_m]Hugo[/name_m].

These are my favourites, I think any of them would make a great brother for [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_m]Hugo[/name_m]:

[name_m]Arthur[/name_m]
[name_u]Darcy[/name_u]
[name_m]Frederick[/name_m]
[name_m]Louis[/name_m]
[name_m]Monty[/name_m]
[name_m]Oscar[/name_m]
[name_m]Rupert[/name_m]

I’m not sure if you’re looking for these, but here are a few combo ideas:

[name_m]Arthur[/name_m] [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_m]Arthur[/name_m] [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]/[name_m]George[/name_m]
[name_u]Darcy[/name_u] [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_m]Frederick[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] [name_m]George[/name_m]
[name_m]Louis[/name_m] [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] [name_m]George[/name_m]
[name_m]Monty[/name_m] [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_m]Oscar[/name_m] [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_m]Rupert[/name_m] [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_m]George[/name_m]
[name_m]Rupert[/name_m] [name_m]Edward[/name_m] [name_m]George[/name_m]

EDIT: From your updated list, I think Louis would be an amazing choice! Violet, Hugo and Louis are all slightly vintage but have a cool European vibe. Maybe Louis Sebastian Flynn?

[name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] and [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_m]Hugo[/name_m], and [name_u]Flynn[/name_u]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] ([name_u]Theo[/name_u])

Those are my favs

[name_m]Arthur[/name_m] -a solid, strong choice

[name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] -popular but soft, charming and versatile

[name_f]Briar[/name_f] - bold choice for a boy, good as a middle

[name_m]Connor[/name_m] - It’s okay, a little rough

[name_u]Darcy[/name_u] -sleek and cool. I enjoy it and it feels regal

[name_m]Edward[/name_m] - grand but grounded

[name_u]Elliot[/name_u] -soft and arty

[name_u]Flynn[/name_u] - cool and calm, I like it

[name_m]Frederick[/name_m] -lovely, bright yet studious sounding

[name_m]George[/name_m] - has a sweet charm to it

[name_u]James[/name_u] - dullest of dull, sorry

[name_m]Jasper[/name_m] -quirky but familiar and cool

[name_m]Louis[/name_m] -i like the regal yet gentle vibe

[name_m]Monty[/name_m] - cute and cuddly but also cheeky and cool

[name_m]Oscar[/name_m] -literary and versatile

[name_m]Otis[/name_m] - vitnage, a little clunky but lovely

[name_m]Rafferty[/name_m] -love the wild but sleek feel of [name_m]Rafferty[/name_m]

[name_m]Ruaridh[/name_m] - love the sounds but the spelling might be challenging if you’re outside of [name_f]Ireland[/name_f] and not into names.

[name_m]Rupert[/name_m] - cute, quirky and full of character

[name_m]Samuel[/name_m] - solid, sensibleand versatile

[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] - love the arty, strong but soft feel of [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]

[name_m]Theodore[/name_m] - similar to [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]

[name_m]Thomas[/name_m] - solid, a little safe. I’ve known so many

My favorite from your list is [name_m]Jasper[/name_m]! My other favorites especially with your kids names are [name_m]Arthur[/name_m], [name_m]Frederick[/name_m], [name_m]Louis[/name_m], [name_m]Oscar[/name_m], [name_m]Otis[/name_m], and [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m].

I love this list!!!

My favourites are:
[name_m]Arthur[/name_m]
[name_f]Briar[/name_f]
[name_u]Darcy[/name_u]
[name_m]Frederick[/name_m]
[name_m]Monty[/name_m]
[name_m]Rupert[/name_m]
[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]
& [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]

Thoughts on your updated list

[name_u]Beau[/name_u]- charming, on trend with a classic vibe

[name_m]Edward[/name_m] - solid and strong but a bit heavy for me

[name_u]Elliot[/name_u]- arty, literary and softly masculine

[name_u]Flynn[/name_u] -cool and sleek

[name_m]Frederick[/name_m] -charming and regal

[name_m]Louis[/name_m] - soft yet boyish

[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] - arty, studious, fun and strong all at once

[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m], [name_u]Beau[/name_u], [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] and [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] are my faves

Of your updated list:

[name_u]Beau[/name_u] - might be a little rhyme-y with [name_m]Hugo[/name_m]?
[name_m]Edward[/name_m], [name_m]Frederick[/name_m], [name_m]Louis[/name_m] - would all be perfect with [name_f]Violet[/name_f] & [name_m]Hugo[/name_m]
[name_u]Flynn[/name_u] - so cute and cool, starting to become my favorite of your list
[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] - great name, but doesn’t really feel like a great match stylistically for [name_f]Violet[/name_f] & [name_m]Hugo[/name_m], imo
[name_u]Elliot[/name_u] - frankly, too close to [name_f]Violet[/name_f], imho

My favorites for your sibset are [name_u]Flynn[/name_u], [name_m]Frederick[/name_m], [name_m]Louis[/name_m], & [name_m]Edward[/name_m].

With [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and [name_m]Hugo[/name_m], I love:

[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]
[name_m]Louis[/name_m]
[name_u]Flynn[/name_u]
[name_m]Frederick[/name_m]
[name_m]Jasper[/name_m]
[name_m]Monty[/name_m]
[name_m]Oscar[/name_m]
[name_m]Otis[/name_m]
[name_m]Rafferty[/name_m]
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m]

Some fit their vibe more than others but to me all of them work well as a sibling name next to [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] and [name_f]Violet[/name_f]. It’s almost impossible for me to pick a favourite as I love so many of these names but for some reason [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] suits [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] and [name_f]Violet[/name_f] exceptionally well to me. Although really, so does [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m], [name_m]Louis[/name_m], [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], [name_m]Oscar[/name_m], [name_m]Otis[/name_m]…

One way to help you narrow down your list could be popularity (if that’s a concern for you)? Some are obviously much more widely used than others…
