So I posted about a week ago regarding my naming dilemma, and after a lot of great suggestions and a lot of thought, I’ve decided to move my initial middle name choice to the first name spot, using [name_f]Suzanne[/name_f] to honor my grandmother. It’s the only girls name that has survived my indecisiveness over the years for girls names and I thought, why not just name her [name_f]Suzanne[/name_f]?! So that brought about another struggle…what to use as a middle name?
My fiancé’s mother had sent me a list of family names at my request and I’ve been looking over them for weeks now. None of them jumped out as a first name I loved, but one in particular stood out as a potential middle name. His grandmother’s maiden name, Charrette, [name_m]French[/name_m] for [name_u]Carter[/name_u].
So I think we have decided on [name_f]Suzanne[/name_f] Charrette, nickname [name_u]Sunny[/name_u]!
[name_m]Just[/name_m] looking for some feedback really, wondering what everyone thinks of the name, and how it will be received. I think it’s classic, but familiar, honors both families, and I highly doubt my little [name_u]Sunny[/name_u] will encounter another [name_f]Suzanne[/name_f] or Charrette in her future! Thank in advance everyone!
I like it! As you say, it’s a popular yet classic name. I like [name_f]Suzanne[/name_f] Charrette. [name_u]Love[/name_u] the nickname [name_u]Sunny[/name_u]! Congrats
Such a gorgeous combo! Charrette is really beautiful and adds a bit of extra flair to the classic [name_f]Suzanne[/name_f], and bonus that it’s an honor name too
[name_u]Love[/name_u] it! [name_f]Suzanne[/name_f] (spelled differently) is my middle name, and I think it makes a very chic first—especially with Charette in the middle!
Beautiful! Charette sounds great next to [name_f]Suzanne[/name_f] and nickname [name_u]Sunny[/name_u] is so adorable! I do prefer [name_f]Suzanna[/name_f] to [name_f]Suzanne[/name_f] but both are great
[name_f]Suzanne[/name_f] is a beautiful name. I personally prefer the spelling as [name_f]Susanne[/name_f], and I think that pairs well with the [name_m]French[/name_m] middle name: [name_f]Susanne[/name_f] Charrette
Or, if you are willing, perhaps consider [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] Charrette, which still honors your grandmother, is classic/timeless and melodic!
If you live in the Southern United States, [name_f]Suzanne[/name_f] is much more common, so you might find some others, but you’re more likely still to find a [name_f]MaryBeth[/name_f] than a [name_f]Suzanne[/name_f]. [name_u]Love[/name_u] the combo btw!!! Sweet little [name_u]Sunny[/name_u] should be proud!
