In any spelling (Navy/Navie/etc)
I like it and I like the [name_u]Navy[/name_u] spelling best! I think it’s so sweet and spirited, and modern yet familiar. Full of energy. It reminds me of the color.
I always go back and forth with [name_u]Navy[/name_u], sometimes I like it and sometimes I don’t. I prefer the [name_u]Navy[/name_u] spelling
I don’t like it as a name because it feels too plain as a color name & also because the military association is too strong for me.
I think the color names that work best are words that aren’t used as often in everyday life (Scarlet, [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_u]Jade[/name_u], Etc.)
I do think that [name_u]Navy[/name_u] could work as a nickname, maybe to [name_f]Nevaeh[/name_f] or a combo like [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f].
I really like [name_u]Navy[/name_u]! [name_u]Love[/name_u] the look and sound.
Very cute. I like the [name_u]Navy[/name_u] spelling.
I don’t get it at all. I don’t like the military thing, it’s an unspectacular colour (I actually love it as a neutral but it’s not moniker worthy) and I don’t think the sounds are particularly pleasant. It’s also overly nicknamey to my ear for a full name.
it’s nice in theory but the military association is too strong imo. i would go with the navy spelling though, for simplicity
I like the sound but am put off by the military association
[name_u]Navy[/name_u] is an 8/10 name for me. I absolutely love how it sounds - I gravitate towards names with N’s and V’s in them. I like the colour association. Where I’m unsure about its use and where [name_u]Navy[/name_u] loses that 2/10 is with the modern day military association. Mostly though, when I think about “the navy” it’s about how [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_u]Austen[/name_u] wrote about her dashing and devious male characters, who were variously banished into the navy, lost at sea in the navy, made their fortunes as Admirals of the navy etc!
I know a little girl (1.5 y old) called [name_u]Navy[/name_u].
I don’t like the name but if I was to choose between the variants, I’d choose [name_u]Navy[/name_u] because it’s the easiest to spell.
Agreed that there’s a mix of colour and military association and ultimately, I don’t think it sounds lovely enough (IMO) to overcome its downsides.
I wouldn’t choose it myself but I can see it as a middle name
Makes me think of the military, doesn’t work as a name but could do as a nickname
I actually know 2 Navy’s and I adore the name ! One is 20 and the other is 1 and it suits them !
Makes me think of the military branch. Maybe as a middle
Not my favorite because it also makes me think of the military, but if I had to use it, [name_u]Navy[/name_u] is the only spelling I’d contemplate.
[name_u]Navy[/name_u] isn’t my cup of tea I think the name feels a bit harsh with the military association. I would only spell the name [name_u]Navy[/name_u] I think [name_f]Navie[/name_f] just looks odd. Whereas [name_u]Navy[/name_u] feels more tailored.
I really enjoy the name [name_u]Navy[/name_u], I feel like it could be a strong name for a girl yet it equally works for a boy. For me personally though the ie spelling doesn’t work
I like how [name_u]Navy[/name_u] sounds, but I would never ever consider [name_u]Navy[/name_u] for my child. I’d find another color name to use, especially because of the military association
I like it. It’s not my style but I think it’s cute. I prefer the [name_u]Navy[/name_u] spelling. It would be really cute with a one syllable middle like [name_u]Navy[/name_u] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] or [name_u]Navy[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]
